I'm sorry that the niners have the edge in
Ol
Front seven
Wr
Better pass rush and run d
And Seattle has the edge in
secondary
Rb
I would say qbs are close, especially since rw is not good at all when his defense isn't spectacular even when lynch is he has done a poor job in the playoffs in spite of having the best d and rb unlike kap who is much better with a lot less help with a worse d and rb and carried his team. Wilson has just managed his team.
Sorry
I'm not sure a 6-2 record with a 97.8 rating is considered 'poor'.
RW has definitely had a couple of clunkers (GB and NO) though the Hawks managed to win both.
While his first playoff loss (ATL) certainly had nothing to due with his performance, as it was one of the best of his young career.
Anyhoo - thought this thread was supposed to be about the Cards

Besides having a historically elite defense the past two years with one of the premier secondaries in history, they also have a better QB, the best back in the game, and they just traded for the best TE in the game not named Gronk, who is more of a legit #1 receiving option than anyone the Niners have.
Niners have the edge at overall receiving talent/depth and the best linebackers. Probably OL too although neither are nothing to rave about and Seattle's line is pretty depleted.
Seattle is clearly the most complete and stacked team in the division. This isn't up for debate. Plus they've owned us the past few years. I don't expect that to change with Tomsula and co. and an even weaker Niners team.

It's like saying Dilfer had a great year on the ravens when the reality is the running game and d were tops.
It's like saying brad Johnson was great most of the time when tb defense and running game won it.
It's like saying terry Bradshaw did great when he had the best d of all time and one of the top rbs of all time not to mention 2 count em 2 hall of game wrs. Wow.
Just put it to rest. And although this is about the cards, sometimes, threads go off topic for a few posts. It's ok, no reason for alarm.
A post so good I had to post it twice![]()

What you neglect is that both the qbs you mentioned were on less dominant teams than the Seahawks. But maybe you are thinking in depth, just looking at stats and ratings. That is for sure the wrong way to argue this and you seem to be missing the point.
The ravens played many many weak teams that year and don't you think with the rule changes brad Johnson's and differs ratings would of improved??? Most likely yes. Also, RW had the number one d and RB and the others did not so that even further proves my point that RW needs to do even less. Thank you very much.
You also pointed out that tb had a bad running game??? Not really, their offense did suck but they had DUNN and ALSTOTT and both were very good running backs. So Johnson was a good example if you cared to get the point of the post being game managers would do very well on Seattle possibly a lot better than RW, especially in the playoffs this year and last.
