Paul Gutierrez Replaces Bill Williamson as ESPN 49ers Beat Writer

From how things look, Paul Gutierrez has replaced Bill Williamson as ESPN's beat writer for the 49ers. I just wanted to mention it because I used to work together with Paul at the college newspaper, the Rebel Yell when we were at UNLV. I was a film critic and entertainment editor. He was a pretty nice guy who covered UNLV during the whole Jerry Tarkanian basketball era with Larry Johnson. He used to cover the Raiders during the JaMarcus Russell's Purple Drank tenure. That must've been a lot of fun. Anyways, Paul should be quite an improvement over Williamson and definitely not as dubious as Seattle fan Mike Sando.

Sando was great. Williamson was just f**king terrible. How did that guy have a job?

if i recall, i think the first thing he did was write a nasty article saying how we are in trouble because some of our secondary guys may be out.

first we were in trouble due to the fact JH lost control of the locker room and our guys who are replacing guys no longer on the team are bums,, now we are trouble again. why the hell do we even bother to show up for games?

I didn't think Williamson was terrible, but man, he put a positive / optimistic spin on everything.

Actually before that video he did on our secondary, his first article just before that was this piece speculating on Frank Gore's chances to make it into the Hall of Fame.
