All in all that's about a solid D and pending...

Why are you weighing Marsh and Ward in the equation? They are not new acquisitions. They were both already here, resigned cheap and if they get whacked in training camp, or in Ward's case get a stubbed toe and goes on IR, it is no big deal. It isn't your money, so who cares?

They're eating up space. Period. Marsh can be replaced in the draft. 5.5 as a starter...we don't play the Raiders next year, plus he'll be playing a lot less snaps this year (probably 4th in line).

Ward just might get hurt in practice. Why even bother... money could go to better players who aren't fragile.

Kwon D+? You did see the details of the contract? Or else you're ignorant or stupid

I did. Unless you're a blind old bald headed bat, you must've missed the parenthesis. We're not talking about value and monies as much as we're evaluating talent and availability. Dude is coming off an ACL in October, No one knows how well he'll recover. For now it's a D+ (IMO)!

I still wouldn't want to sign him back on a LTD.

Well with your point of view because of AA... we're sitting at an F-

Man I can't wait till the draft...

we need a quality edge rusher. a guard. a wide out. another linebacker. a corner back and a safety, only six picks and do we actually trust lynch to draft well

No! Hell No!!

He seems to have a hard time evaluating good talent. Once may get lucky here or there but he has no talent evaluation skills imo.

You think Lynch is the solo evaluator He has mentioned many times the 'collaborative' efforts in the front office. I believe this to be especially true since this was his first GM gig. Peters, Mayhew and Shanny's opinion carries a ton of weight (Joe Williams lol). Lynch is all over it too no doubt, but it certainly is not just him you point the finger at when there is blame to go around.

You are correct sir. There is enough blame to go around. However, he seems to really like Ward and Marsh as much or more than Shanny. His name comes up all the time, he's the spokesman for them (not Peters or Mayhew)...Shanny is to blame as well, I understand that.

I should just say FO messed up, but then I'll have to deal with more comments like this. For instance, "you think the whole FO was in on this...this was all on Shanny, Lynch blah blah blah sha nana da da da"

The only way to watch that is to close your eyes and imagine.

WTH
5 million for what we are all hoping for is depth is unacceptable, I knew he was going to be resigned but not for that price, I can't even defend this lol and I'm all about positivity and the bright side
Guess this was plan F
Jimmie "Hospital" Ward is the proverbial bad penny. The Niners keep bringing him back for some reason, but they keep moving him around. Add in the injuries and it's a recipe for disaster.

I tried that, and he pulled his hammy on the first play
Any details on contract yet. Can we cut him when he pulls his finger?

Exactly. I hope FO / Lynch explains it to the point that it makes perfect sense. We have Colbert, Tartt, Harris, Moore (was a safety in college)...then there's the draft. Boston, Dix and others are still available as well.

Same thing with Marsh...he can easily be replaced via draft. What's up with Street, Taylor, Blair? It's getting crowded on the dline, but Marsh is worth that money because he'll be 4th in line at best How many snaps would that be?!!

if this dude gets a paper cut or hang nail they should cut his ass on the spot
Wards versatility as a backup will allow dressing one less dB on game day that's how you dress 4 rbs and have Coleman Breida McKinnon swinging out the backfield and slot all over the place defenses gonna be dazed and confused

Yeah he will pull a couple hammies but unlikely to break so many bones as a backup. Ward is definition of premium insurance you can hate it til you need it.

Yet, he sucks so bad, its like being down one player when he actually plays. Pretty much no point of him even being on the field.
