I wouldn't mind the 49ers getting him. It doesn't say much when your fastest receiver is your tight end. We shall see. I doubt it will happen.

I'm not sure why all the bickering on here. The 49ers management team's JOB is to make the team better, thus they are motivate to investigate alternative options and chart the best course moving forward. It is their job.
Questions I would seek to answer in my evaluation of Jackson's fit with the 49ers:
- Does this person fill a need for your team? Scheme fit? Is he a player your coaches would want to have in the locker room? Yes (will consult to coaching staff).
- Is the player attainable for a reasonable price? Yes, possibly, if it really is just a 3rd rounder.
- Does this player's contract requirements fit with your organization? (Consultation with Maraathe) Huge question mark.
The team is right to be investigating this, which right now is all they're doing. Why fuss?

Not a fan of his. His speed, quickness, and acceleration are amazing, but he is so "Me First," that I can't stand it. He'd be the highest paid guy on our team, talking about wanting more money. That's gonna make the locker room go crazy. Plus, we'd use up the $$ for Kap's extension, so we'd have to pay him after a season of throwing bombs to DJax. Nope. I don't think cooks has that type of speed, and I'm not sure Herron does either, but they'd fit here. Archer/Bryant have the speed, but they'd prob. be speedy decoys until they learned the position better. There's gotta be a fix that doesn't involve making a spoiled, juvenile malcontent our highest paid player.

Have you ever had dinner with the guy? How would you know?

If we could get him to take a pay cut, which seems HIGHLY unlikely, I would be love it.

Haha mostly what we do here is fuss!
Add another question to your list:
- Does he strike fear in the opposing team's defensive players and coaches? In Jackson's case, this is a definite 'yes'.
The guy has a 17.2 YPC average for his career!

with all this interest in these smaller faster receivers tells me we may actually go more in 3 WR sets. I'm all for that.

Ian Rapoport ✔ @RapSheet Intriguing report from @TheRealDGunnCSN on #Eagles listening on DeSean Jackson. Don't believe #49ers are interested tho. Not at that price.

I just read that were aren't interested in this trade he's too expensive. Do you believe this can set up a josh Gordon trade? That we're letting teams know were in the mix for a trade?

Actually you read Ian Rapoport say HE didn't think they'd be interested. No source there.
...and No. Josh Gordon is a Brown and will remain a Brown. The staff that was shopping him is no longer in Cleveland.

I think Denver will suffer as a result of all these aggressive moves.
On the other hand, if our front office would make just one splashy move this offseason, it would be good for the team. Send the players a message that management wants to win now and isn't always in rebuild mode. It almost seems like expectations are low because they're planning too much for the future instead of the present. I don't want to acquire a bunch of random skill position guys and become the Eagles Dream Team, but I do want to see a roll of the dice (preferably a trade into the top 5 to snag Watkins...).
I don't think Jackson is the answer, given his contract.

He wouldn't take a pay cut, they would restructure his deal to make it fit. It's not like he's getting megatron money, make it happen yo!!!!

And they still won't win a Superbowl, that team is built to implode.
