Good deal for both the 49ers and Kilgore. We now have $13.2M in cap room, onlly took away $337,500 away from our 2014 cap room for this extension.

Good deal, got more info from a source, his 2014 base is guaranteed, he also has a separate $600K roster bonus due April 1st, 2015 guaranteed for injury only.

Though I would have liked one of the CAL free agent Centers (Mack or De la Puente) to start for us,
Glad to see Niners seem to feel confident that Kilgore will be the man, Not too often do those late round projects pan out.

Now if we can just channel the FO to draft this May like they did in 2011 we'll be set!

Where did you see that, and can you elaborate more into this?

MM said Lattimore has 4 years left on his contract since he wasn't on the 53 man roster this past season.

Lattimore did not play at all in his rookie season, due to a severe knee injury he sustained in his final season at South Carolina. Lattimore still has four years remaining on his contract, Baalke said, because he was never part of the 49ers' 53-man roster in his first NFL season.http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/lattimore-still-has-four-years-left-figures-49ers-rb-mix-now

Here is what rotoworld has: If he ends up being the starting center for 4 years 6.05 mil will be an absolute steal. That's backup money. So It was 3 years, 5.4ish but you add in his last year he is under contract turns into 4 years, 6.045 mil.
2/27/2014: Signed a four-year, $6.045 million contract. The deal included a $1.35 million signing bonus. Another $1.8 million is available through escalators and incentives. 2014: $645,000, 2015: $800,000 (+ $200,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2016: $900,000 (+ $200,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2017: $1 million (+ $200,000 in per-game roster bonuses), 2018: Free Agent

Rotoworld has no idea of the extra $600K roster bonus due April 1 2015. Makes it $6.645M deal.

Looney isn't eligible for an extension till after 2014. I doubt he is in any shape or ready to be the new LG. I see us drafting a Guard soon. Maybe this year, but if not, then in 2015.
Would fill the need for a C-backup and could provide some backup at G as well.
Though, with Seymour, Looney and Snyder also in place, we would have too many Guards, I would say.
