current system. Winning the division is a big deal.

Keep the playoff format the same (you win your division you get in) but 1st round bye and home-field depends on record. This way a team that goes 14-2 doesn't have to play on the road every round in the playoffs because the team that won the division went 15-1

yeah cus that has ever happened. sorry, theres something to be said for winning your division.

Maybe not 14-2, but just two years ago 12-4 Pittsburgh had to go to 8-8 Denver.

I don't like the conference format, it simply does not put the best teams in the playoffs, and it awards mediocrity with home field advantage to divisional winners regardless of their record. I doubt they will do away with division but they should make the division winner travel if they have a worse record than the wild card.
