Nobody's blaming him for the drop, people are blaming him because he looked like a rookie on his first day of training camp, not sure where the f**k to line up, lining up in the neutral zone, basically acting like he was lost in the sauce. Meanwhile you've got other rookie WR's who have learned complex systems and are out there catching passes and touchdowns. How much time has this guy spent during practice running scout team stuff? My guess is a lot, that means he would need to spend extra time outside of practice working on the playbook etc. Remeber when he first got here, how out of shape he was? Seems like he needs a little motivation... LMJ I'm sure was doing just as much scout team work, but apparently was putting in the extra time needed so he'd be ready when he got his chance.

Typically WR struggle in year one... I understand that Moss is still Moss and Crabtree is breaking out big time, but you'd like to see this guy do something...

time is the enemy. A week ago ,after losing Justin Smith and losing to the Seahawks , Ninertalk was already doubting us about us going in to win the Super Bowl this year (The poll STILL is favoring ''NO.''),even though we beat the Pats a week earlier.

If JS isn't around , as well as alot of others next year, we don't have time for an AJ to take flight.. We're in the playoffs.

AJ might be good later on, but not right now. He's a Jason Hill clone. That's my drunkard opinion.

His frame severly worries me. Looks like Ziegler. Unless he bulks up signifigantly, he is going to have to rely on speed, and precise route running to be successful, and will probably struggle alot with physical DB's.

Im not so down on the drop either, but like i beleive Phoenix said, the lack of simple fundamentals as far as simple things like where to line up is worrisome as well. When You QB, RB, Lineman, and another WR all have to help get you into correct placment before the snap, thats not a good thing.

I know hes a rookie, was thrown to only once, but he looked totally lost out there today. He didn't know where to line up, teammates had to tell him to get off the LOS, hopefully its just jitters but that's not what I would expect from a 1st round pick.

Isaac Bruce was never huge and neither was Jerry or Marvin Harrison nor Holt. He's a rookie who was in street clothes for 80% of the season. Zeigler was also a reciever wh made some beautiful catches. I'm not worried about the kid. He and Jerry have almost the same build. Jerry was 200 and A.J is 192, Jerry is 2" taller. We don't know what to make of the kid. What 2 games. LMJ looked just as lost when he came in. He'll adjust.
