That contract seems heavily inflated. He won't see close to $100M, but they really did overpay a little. I suppose that's what it takes to retain the best on a so-so team.

He came out in 2007, 7th pick in 07, was entering his 5th and final yr of his original 5yr deal. Would of made 10.77M this yr, plus bonuses.

So, 11 yrs for AP, where most RBs dont see 5 yrs of quality.

Idk if AP will survive being a top back. He to me is worth more than Johnson, AP is a bigger back, Johnson is smaller and I get worried with small RBs.

Now Gore shouldn't be mad, drafted in 05, signed a new deal, then an extension earlier this offseason. 3rd deal. More tread on his tires so to speak.

Not saying AP is worth it more so than Gore. I love Gore, but AP has unbelievable talent, but I would go with AP on my team. Not saying I dont love Gore.
