Any speculation that Plaxico Burress ever considered a return to the Giants over the Jets was put to bed with his newest wave of insults directed at Tom Coughlin and quarterback Eli Manning. In an interview for the October edition of Men's Journal, Burress criticized Coughlin's lack of support before and after the wideout accidentally shot himself in the leg in a New York nightclub in Nov. 2008. "After my situation happened, I turned on the TV, and the first words out his mouth was 'sad and disappointing.'" Burress told the magazine, via The Star-Ledger. "I'm like, forget support -- how about some concern? I did just have a bullet in my leg. And then I sat in his office, and he pushed back his chair and goes, 'I'm glad you didn't kill anybody!' Man, we're paid too much to be treated like kids. He doesn't realize that we're grown men and actually have kids of our own."The interview took place in June, before Burress joined the Jets and new coach Rex Ryan, whom he complimented. "(Coughlin's) not a real positive coach," Burress said. "You look around the league, the Raheem Morrises and Rex Ryans -- when their player makes a mistake, they take 'em to the side and say, 'We'll get 'em next time.' But Coughlin's on the sideline going crazy, man. I can't remember one time when he tried to talk a player through not having a day he was having." Coughlin didn't have much of a response to Burress' comments, saying only, "I'm sure they were grandiose," according to The Star-Ledger. Burress also described the hurt he felt when Eli Manning failed to reach out during Burress' 20-month prison sentence for illegal gun possession. "I was always his biggest supporter, even days he wasn't on, 'cause I could sense he didn't have thick skin," Burress said. "Then I went away, and I thought he would come see me, but nothing, not a letter, in two years. I don't want to say it was a slap in the face, but I thought our relationship was better than that." The 34-year-old receiver also pointed a finger at the fans who he feels abandoned him along the way. Said Burress: "What are you doing now? You still mad at your job? You still angry about your life? Plax is a selfish punk who apparently hasnt learned anything while in prison. After he endangers others in a night club, shoots HIMSELF in the leg, and essentially bails on his team, he wants sympathy? he wants support? who the f**k does he think he is? If I were a Giants fan i'd say good riddance. These fans are the ones who support his career and he turns around and mocks these hard working people who spend their savings to watch him play. He's been blessed with an athletic ability that gave him a free college education and multi-million dollar contracts in the NFL...

Although it's a little sad to hear that Eli made no effort to contact him.

Yeah, that was the only part of the article that I thought was unfortunate.

He shoots himself and then expects team mates to visit him? Im sure if it was up to Eli he may have went, but his people would have advised him not to.

He's contradicts himself when he first complains about being treated like a kid (by Coughlin), then wonders why he wasn't treated like a kid.

He's an idiot, but I think it's a joke that he spent when a day in jail for what he did.

No matter what the grievance, I think of complaints by wealthy people about their employment situation to be a nuisance to the rest of the real world.

AWWWW POOR POOR PLAXICO, EVERYONE WAS SOOOO MEAN TO HIM AFTER HE SHOT HIMSELF IN A NIGHTCLUB WITH AN ILLEGAL FIREARM WHICH OH BY THE WAY WAS A FELONY TO HAVE.

Dumbass screwed his team over, they paid him alot money to be a professional but decided he wanted to be a Thug instead. Now he's mad no one felt sorry him. Sorry, Plaxico, not only does no one feel sorry for you, they probably lost all respect for you. If you want respect, you gotta earn it, and whining about what meanies everyone was for not sending you flowers and visiting you when you let your team down is probably not the way it's going to happen.
