This.
Hill was never given a fair shake on the 49ers thanks to Singlecell...stupid too because Singlecell would've never been the HC if not for Hill's great play.

Since we are discussing useless scenarios, how about this one. How would Tim Rattay do in Harbaugh's offense? Or, maybe Chris Weinke or Cody Pcikett or J.T. O'WhoGivesaF*ck.

He would do real well. the WCO is perfect for him. He was great at spreading the ball around as well. The thing that Shaun was good at was reading defenses.
Shaun is basically a Chad Pennington who can stay healthy. Shaun beat out Alex before, and he would've beat out Alex again....that is why he got shipped out of here, so Alex didn't have to look over his shoulder.
someone said that Shaun wasn't mobile, but he actually was...and still is. He just rushed for a TD last week when no one was open.
Also Tim Rattay would've done great. Tim was also good at spreading the ball around and hitting our players in stride. IMO he was our best passer since the Steve Young. Tim could make all the throws. Early Garcia was good, but he couldn't make all the throws. Tim looked great in the WCO. I still remember him hitting Fred Beasly in stride for a TD against the Steelers on Monday Night Football.
Tim made Lloyd, Wilson, Battle all look good...and had Barlow as his RB.....I can only imagine what he would've been able to do with Gore, Vernon, Walker, Crabtree, Breylon Edwards...etc.
