Why do you want this to happen? Why would you want the only team in the West that we were better than last year to improve?

Kevin Kolb is a legit QB. He will make that team a NFCW contender again. And we will be stuck with the worst QB in the NFCW.

Please DO NOT let this happen!

People on this forum just don't get it. Kolb is in high demand for a reason. But hey, the posters here on 49erswebzone.com have reviewed his QB rating and decided that Alex Smith is a better QB, which is horrible news for Kevin Kolb because Alex Smith sucks.

The guy is going to be a good QB. I don't want him in the NFC West - on any team. You can find reasons to hate on him if that's what makes you feel better, but there's a reason Philly's asking price is so damn high and a reason teams are actually considering giving them what they want.

Put it like this, I haven't heard any rumblings about any team eying Alex Smith (yes, I know they can't come out and say anything yet because of the lockout, but we've all heard the rumblings about Kolb and Palmer to SF, so...). Since Alex's QB rating is better, why do you think teams want Kolb, but have shown no interest in Alex? Oh that's riiiiiight, I forgot, you can't judge everything on stats alone. Alex's checkdowns and refusal to take risks makes his QB rating look better than he actually is.

Kolb >>>>>> Alex and it isn't close. The reason I bring this up is because the QB rating suggests otherwise, but you can't rely on that alone. Kevin Kolb will be legit, and acting like you want him on a team we'll see twice a year and have to compete for the division with is ridiculous.

maybe some of us acting like its no big deal if kolb is in the division can be seen as ridiculous, but no more ridiculous than your forgone conclusion that kolb will be legit

That may be true, but my conclusion is shared by many in the National Football League. Your conclusion is only shared on a fan forum.

But hey, go ahead and hope for a division rival to get better. The fact is, and I doubt any of you will dispute this, Kevin Kolb is better than anyone the Cardinals have at QB. Why would you want them to upgrade? I hope they sign someone even worse than what they have, not someone better. Giving up draft picks is fine and all, but sometimes teams blow those picks during the draft anyway.

cant happen, u wont find worse qb play then they got last year, they gonna find an improvement there, its just a matter of who it'll be, i used to never want the div rivals to acquire better talent, but at some point who cares? we've got to play better, cant be concerned with what the other teams are doing, this team also brought in name guys like joey porter, alan faneca, and kerry rhodes last year and didnt help them much

Exactly. The other poster kept saying that he doesn't want our division rivals to get better, but guess what, it's a business and EVERY team is trying to get better. It's our defenses job to stop them and I like our chances against Kolb in AZ better than the possibility of Luck/Barkley in AZ.

getting kolb will potentially weaken them not only do they have to give up to 2nd rounders they will have invested in kolb and they cant get a qb in next years draft which is filled with pro ready qbs

Agreed. I don't know why people are so scared of this guy potentially becoming an elite QB in the NFL. I haven't seen him do anything in the NFL that really warrants that.

Exactly Kolb is not going to make the Cardinals a playoff team. They gave up Boldin who I thought was one of their best players, and their running game is weak. Fitz cannot take them to the playoffs by himself.

_________

Adrian Wilson is a straight up liability in coverage. He offers nothing in coverage. DRC got torched so much last year that fan base began to sour on him. For crying out loud, half of our TDs against the Cardinals came against DRC.

It could happen!

What you haven't seen anything that warrants that, did you not watch the eagles vs niners game last season, cause kolb might have won that game, i mean look how he just threw manny off him, o wait manny can't tackle and parys was being a douce bag and being talentless and blocked!

What you haven't seen anything that warrants that, did you not watch the eagles vs niners game last season, cause kolb might have won that game, i mean look how he just threw manny off him, o wait manny can't tackle and parys was being a douce bag and being talentless and blocked!

our pass rush and secondary was just horrendous last year so we shouldnt take games against us as examples i mean matt moore threw 300 yards against us

Who didn't have a great game against us, is the real point you're making there

If you look at Kolb's other games, I see inaccurate passes, happy feet in an open pocket, and questionable ball security.

Exactly Kolb is not going to make the Cardinals a playoff team. They gave up Boldin who I thought was one of their best players, and their running game is weak. Fitz cannot take them to the playoffs by himself.

i am scared of there secondary pp7 DRC and adrian wilson

its gonna be hard to pass against them

_________

Adrian Wilson is a straight up liability in coverage. He offers nothing in coverage. DRC got torched so much last year that fan base began to sour on him. For crying out loud, half of our TDs against the Cardinals came against DRC.

not to mention they have zero pass rushers, dockett is a good player but they run a 3-4 aswell and from the olb spot they have nothing and didnt draft anything either,
