Would you be willing to boycott the first week of the season?

Why? People who care that much I don't get. i already give the league nothing. I don't go to games, I don't buy apparral, I don't have sunday ticket.I simply watch the games and drink beer (not even the ones that sponsor the league). It's a labor dispute within a company I have no interest in other than I watch the product. My family doesn't work there, so I could care less.

Some of us love football. To me its an escape from all the crap we face from day to day. Also its just so much fun to watch. I don't want to lose that because people want to fight over money. I don't care who is right in this particular argument, I just want my football!!!

you want it so bad that you won't watch it?

I only mean to boycott the first week. Not going to the game. I would still watch it at a bar or something. Just to show the league what it would be like if the continue to dismiss the consumers feeling about all of this b.s.

If there is a first week of football, then what are we boycotting about? We haven't missed any football.

Granted some are narcissistic enough that they're mad about missing out on the off season activity, but I can tell you there's not enough of them to make a difference.

If there is football missed, I still wouldn't boycott them but I most definitely will loose some passion for the game and in the long term I think that's what will hurt the NFL more than anything else.
I promise I won't go to the first Niner home game of the season!

Unless someone gives me a free ticket. Or I find a ticket. Or someone is selling one for really cheap. Or semi cheap. Or face value. Or I run into a little extra cash and buy one anyway.

But if none of that happens I'm with ya!
f**k this bulls**t, that's like chopping your dick off before reaching a sexual climax.

No, even if I said yes, I would puss out and watch anyways.

Im not saying don't watch the game. Im simply saying don't go to the first game. Either way they are making money from television contracts. But they would be losing the money from 1 home game. Also all the empty seats will send a pretty strong message to everyone. The players wont get cheers and the owners wont get the money. Again. Just for the first game of the season.

no ones going yes i can get tickets for next to nothing
If the Niners are playing, I'm watching.

This... as sweet of a kick in the face to the NFL as it would be they would just block all the games out so nobody could see them. Plus you would never get everyone to agree to not go.
I would boycott it for a season. Why?

I am a HUGE fan of football like every one else here. I love going to games with my wife. Season tickets cost us like $1200 a year... for the upper deck. Then we buy concessions on top of that each game. It's ridiculous. Usually around $180 per game out of pocket. X 8 is $1440 per season.

The players are over paid. The owners are over paid. The fans are bled dry. Tickets and concessions should be half of what they are. The players and owners should make less than half of what they make. Who lines the NFL's pockets? The fans do. I would be strongly in favor of leaving the stadium empty and having no fans in attendance to the games for a few games out of the year. That would get the league's attention.

The NFL is out of control.
