Harbaugh and agent David Dunn, however, are seeking to make him the highest-paid coach, something the 49ers are reluctant to fulfill until they win a Super Bowl.

IMO they should just pay the guy, hes one of the top in lthe league, coaches salaries dont count against the cap and we're entering a new stadium which will provide the team with a lot more revenue. even if you make him the highest paid, within the year another guy will pass him.

you do not pay super bowl money if you do not win a super bowl. i would not make him the highest paid coach in the nfl. if that is what he demands then you indeed cut ties with him in my opinion . now if you cut ties with him you do have to bring in a big name like gruden. when you are trying to sell out and pay for a new stadium after you just cut a popular coach,, you gotta make it a little easier to swallow for the fans and i think gruden would be the trick

I would go with David Shaw.

he's not leaving stanford

I really thought when york took over we would not have the type of drama we had before he took over. If i were JH i would hit the road as it sounds like they do not want him. i still love this team but the things they do just make you wonder if they just go looking for trouble

Yep, it looks like York has now been forced to back peddle a bit from his initial statement. I wonder how much farther the will have to go.

I don't agree with this. It's semantics, but I think York was truthful.

He and Harbs said that the Florio report was wrong. It was. York did not say that there was NO contact, just that PFT's "spin" was wrong.

York then clarified via his comments to P King.

York did nothing wrong. It was Cleveland that did everything wrong. So Florio comes out with this story and York is just supposed to violate the confidentiality that he had with the Browns when discussing this. f**k no. He denied as to was to be expected. Then the Browns and their dumb ass owner says "Oh ya, we discussed it". What a f**king maroon.

The two of you are either really stupid.. or trolling.

Report: 49ers and Browns had agreed to trade Harbaugh but then Jim shot it down.

Jed York: Report is not true
Harbaugh: I echo Jed, report not true

Browns say oh, we asked about him.

Jed: They asked, we had no interest.

How in the world do you see back peddling? You really are stupid... lol.. you believe what the media says and fall in line.

I think Harbaugh's replacement is already on the staff. And as much as it makes me puke a little inside, Shanahan is on the market, and would be an offensive upgrade in regards to a passing game......., and there's a stable of running backs.

we have just come up with four replacements for JH if he goes. it would a disappointment if he left but not tragic

It would be nice if the Browns signed a confidential disclosure agreement before making the proposed Harbaugh trade offer that included trading us Gordon and their 1st round pick in the event of a material breach of the terms. It's almost like they are embarrassed by their POS team that they decided to go to TMZ and try to bring our team down in the tabloids with this trade rumor that was their idea to offer.
