They only have the last word if you buy their B.S. Are you buying their B.S.? Again, here's what the guy you evidently believe wrote to begin this entire exercise in nonsense:

"Per multiple league sources, the Cleveland Browns nearly pulled off a trade with the 49ers for the rights to coach Jim Harbaugh. A deal that would have sent multiple draft picks to San Francisco was in place between the teams. But Harbaugh ultimately decided not to leave the 49ers."

In retrospect, are you saying you trust the credibility of the media here? As far as I'm concerned their lack of credibility is the last word. They don't get the benefit of the last word when they're obviously just making stuff up.
Ill say this. I dont really know what is true and what isnt. There is probably about 10 people between both sides that know the whole truth. What I will say is most stories start out as rumors and as the river rushes more truth and fact or nonsense come out and the real story unfolds. What worries me is that York said there was no truth to the STORY when in fact there was and now he acknowledges that so maybe as more unfolds more might come out. I dont really care if these guys cant work together. A lot of companies and people cant get along but are professional and get the job done. Thats what I care about. Can they get the job done regardless of their feelings and WIN

Meh, wouldn't bother me at all if Harbaugh left tbh. With the talent we have, we will be good regardless. I don't see us going backward if he leaves, hell maybe we could even win a SB or get a damn play in on time.

This is a damn shame that for whatever reason some powers in the media are pulling this crap around the combine. Somebody has a hardon to knock JH and the team just a peg. Again am not sure whom or what to believe. Is JH somewhat of a egocentric personality? Somewhat YES. Is he hard to work with? From what's out there, PERHAPS! But in this age of corporate America everybody is going for numero uno that is thyself. Every business has an egocentric personality. And in this case JH is getting the job done. So the FO personnel need to jump on JH bozak and d!ckride along till time comes for the relationship cordage is cut off. I'm by no means saying tomorrow.

As a 49ers fan tried and true I've been nothing short of happy with the arrival of JH. Prior to that I was one of the many webzone and 49er fan starting to sift through the start of college football trying to look at potential prospects whom would be on the team come the end of April during NFL draft. Am I disappointed we didn't win the SB? You bet ya! But the past is the past and I've got to leave it behind. And as a team, 49ers need to learn from these previous heartbreaking losses and move on. What was M. Jordan's advice to Shaq during playoff sweep of the Magic, "before you succeed you must first learn to fail".

Furthermore, prior to JH we had Dennis "the drunk" Erickson, followed by Mike "I want to wear suits" Nolan(I swear I had never heard of him before he became the HC), and finally Mike "I'll beat you down with the Holly Cross" Singletarty. Yup the good ole' fun days of going sub-par .500 ball club and constantly picking in the up half of the NFL draft. Does JH need to control his emotions on the sidelines a tad bit? Most Def. Does he need to learn to work well with others? Yes indeed. But by no means is there another coach out there that I can say I would like to coach this team. Before somebody mentions BB out New England please allow me to get my recoding device and camera ready(yes the pun is indented). what has he done since? If anything just as well as JH.

Now to our FO personnel. I have no beef with Trent B although I was one of the many calling for an outside personnel due to TB's connection to McClueless(more on him in a min). People are chirping that JH walked into a team with load roster. YES, but did they know what it meant to put it together and win. The coaching staff of JH showed them how to. Most of the players on the team are those drafted or FA signings by McClueless so he too should be given proper credit. By the way I never liked his ass. I believe TB got Anquan Boldin, drafted N Bowman, A. Smith, E. Ried, C. Cullerver, wiffed on AJ Jenkins, jury is still out of LMJ, K. Hunter, C. Lemonier(love the kid), got ACL redshirt players. What I'm saying is that jury is still out TB. And personally a head ball coach needs to have some input on the rookies being drafted or FA about to be signed.

Finally, Jim Hasslam is a crook. I wouldn't trust anything FLYING(again pun intended) out from his mouth. His life is in shambles, his football team (Cleveland Browns are bigger joke than Oakland Raiders and Washington Redtails combined) along with his trucking business. When a human being is miserable It's only appropriate to make others miserable as well to make thyself feel better. He could have easily defused the situation by LYING(something he has mastered by now) and kept it in house. But he had the need to make sh!t public and give these so called journalist more sh!t to cook up poisoning the lives of others. Do I believe some interactions took place between the 49ers and doo doo Browns? yes but not the way it's been dragged along.

There, my lengthy 2 cents. Go ahead and jump on my pubics and assassinate me if y'all will.

This.
It sure seems as though this is a real situation, not made up. JH is probably exactly who we see on the sideline and at press conferences. Likely he is simply being tolerated at this point by management/ownership.

He turned the team around, that is his huge talent, but perhaps another personality type would be better to maintain the team in the long run.

JH or a slew of first-round draft picks that would keep the team at the top for years to come? Maybe getting a more innovative and stable coach, one that you are more comfortable with. Pretend you are the owner: make the call.

Though, I believe there is a strong possibility that SC inquired, Sark and SC had a plan in place well before the whole Texas fiasco. That's one of the reasons Orgeron blew his top. He was never going to get the chance to be the HC. It was kinda a handshake deal with Sark after the ND game.. which was well before the end of the season.

roman would probably be the coach,, he is the henchman behind this. next thing you know he will assemble a squad and hit JH on the knee with a crowbar. if Jh leaves then you bring in grudan ,, we know he would insist on firing roman. he could barely contain his displeasure of roman on monday night football

if Jh left he would take roman with him as he seems to be an enabler of roman. by god I am starting to warm to this idea of trading JH to the browns.. you get two high draft picks, you get flash gordon, you bring in gruden with a new offensive coordinator whose focus is not on taco tuesday or softshell saturday and we are set for years!

Not if the Trent/Harbaugh beef was over whether or not to fire Roman. Think about it...
What the f**k else is going on?

A high-ranking NFL personnel evaluator I ran across at the NFL scouting combine Thursday morning said he was hearing sensational stories about the San Francisco 49ers. He would not elaborate because the stories were unsubstantiated, but we can assume at least one of them found its way into the news over the weekend. http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/mike-sando/post?id=7568
