Been watching some of these old super bowl repeats they have been showing on NFL network. Never realized it at the time but listening to John Madden is pretty damn annoying. Dude sounds like a bumbling idiot, I really think that Frank Caliendo destroyed Madden's image.

This. I grew up on Madden and Summerall so i like them but Joe Buck is hot garbage. He sucks all the fun out of everything he does. I don't mind Aikman, he's doing better than i thought he would

I'd take Madden over any other NFL color commentator.

A lot of people talk down Maddens ability as a color commentator, but watching football without his iconic voice and his commentary just makes me wish he was still doing it. Same as Joe Starky in my opinion. Starky wasn't Madden. But its not the same listening to the games, like something good is missing.

I think people forget that when he wasn't going crazy with the 'booms' and the 'pows' he was actually a really insightful analyst. He knows WAY more about football than just about any of the jerks on TV these days. And he was actually pretty good at communicating it.
The older he got the more his crazy antics took over. But he was a great commentator.

Agreed. Joe Buck is really good at Baseball. He should stick to that.

No, he is not. Buck even made the Giants' playoff run seem boring at times.
