Damn.. Wasn't he drafted the same year as Balmer?
ya picked right before him i believe...basically traded a guy with 7 career sacks for a guy with zero (balmer)....solid move seattle
Traded a guy that they knew would not work out for them for a guy that may or may not work for them. Plus they got their draft pick back from Detroit. It could possibly even be a higher pick than the ones that the Hawks would have originally had. When Pete came to the Hawks he eluded to the fact that he didn't think Jackson was a firtst round talent and was suprised that he got drafted that high.
Wow, Pete Carroll is a dick lol
I would rather him be a dick than just bring in his former players and not send them packing if they suck.

And you think it'll be higher than the 6th you guys gave us for Balmer? i doubt it. THat detroit team is good, Stafford should do pretty well, they got Megatron, a brand new RB who is fast as hell, a better DLine than last year, etc. They're really talented and I would be very surprised if the Seahawks were better than them.

Do you think they are better than Green Bay, Chicago, and Minnesota? All of whom they play twice year? How about Philly, Dallas, the Giants, the Jets, the Patriots, or Miami?
I'd like to point out that having the sixth pick in the last draft has no bearing on what position we will be drafting from next draft. The record of the team does. I think we will probably have a better record than detroit next year. Which means that taking their draft pick after trading away ours to you guys means that we will most likely have a higher draft pick in the sixth round of next years draft.

They might be better than Chicago. That schedule is pretty brutal. I mean I don't know, I think the Lions are definitely more talented than the Seahawks. But the Seahawks have an easier schedule probably. I know the sixth pick in the draft doesn't mean you guys will suck again next year, and the record of the team does. No offense I just don't think the seahawks will have a very good record. But hey they play in a crappy division so who knows.

No problems. The schedule was a big part of why I have that opinion about the Lions vs Hawks schedule next season. They do have a lot of young talent. Plus half of the Seahawks old rosters.

-- I'm no football guru, and I don't have a degree in counseling, but it appears to me that Matt Leinart is playing tentatively, afraid to make a mistake. I think he's been late on some throws because of that, and it's led to him taking the check-down options more than he should. It seems to me he needs to loosen up and play with a more swashbuckling attitude. There's a fine line between confident and cautious. As always, it's possible I'm completely off base. Just one opinion.

So now that the Seahawks are bringing in Brandon Jones for a look, dont know if they are signing him, but maybe its possible that Scotty Mac moght wanna bring in Glenn Coffee for their new team priest? Since they are targeting a few of his old pics?

Golden Tate-WR-Seahawks Aug. 19 - 5:22 pm et
Golden Tate admitted that he's still having trouble learning the Seahawks' offense.
After a torrid spring and start to training camp, Tate has reportedly cooled off rapidly. "Everything seems so fast because you're like, 'I don't know what I'm doing,'" Tate said. "You think you do, but you really don't. And that's one of the things I have struggled with. It's getting better, but I have a long way to go." This doesn't bode well for Tate's chances of securing a starting gig. He's a late-round flier that should be able to help fantasy teams more as the season goes on.

if they get Balmer and Jones then they will have some pretty good info on our Defense and Offense...
