IMHO i think it may be wise to sign him, but it's also worth noting he may not want to sign. Just my opinion

I know that Peyton was going to have his deal restructured. Maybe their trying to save money so they can give Peyton a fatter contract.

then i would say they have not looked at him. they would have just looked at his size and said no.
