Covington police spokesman Spike Jones says Maualuga hit a parking meter and two parked cars early Friday with his 2003 Pontiac. There was minor damage. The 23-year-old was held about seven hours at the Kenton County jail before being released on his own recognizance. The Bengals' 2009 second-round draft choice from Southern Cal started the first 15 games of his rookie season before breaking his left ankle. Team spokesman Jack Brennan says he won't comment until the case is resolved. A message has been left for agent Gary Uberstine.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not (the implication that you wouldn't want this "idiot") but Maualuga is a pretty darn good player. That being said, I like the idea of having two 1sts better

Not sarcasm this time. Any NFL player who violates the law, especially one that thinks driving under the influence is acceptable, isn't worth having around. It's why I never liked Antonio Bryant and still don't like Ahmad Brooks.

I remember Lofa Tatupu also had a incident like this in this past and he aslo had a whackass car like a kia or isuzu.
