Jalen Farmer was on my shortlist of guard targets. And that 40 is very nice.
Holy f**k dude. This is like a Create-a-Player someone would have made in Madden just to have a ridiculously big offensive line.

33. Omar Cooper Jr WR (trade back with the NYJ for 103 +178
40-45. Emmaunel Pregnon G

I'm 100% on this page. Although I'd take Cooper at 27. Doubs, Cooper, Pregnon would be one hell of a haul.

I hope the 9ers come away from this draft with one of:

Logan Jones
Connor Lew
Sam Hecht
Pat Coogan

If the 9ers are gonna start Brendel week 1, then I hope they at least draft one of those O-lineman.

This.

If he somehow falls to #58 I'm running the card up immediately I don't care who else is there.

Pregnon is why I don't mind at all trading back from 27 to 38-45 and picking up 3-4 extra picks and making him our first selection and LG immediately solved for 10 years and an almost 0% chance for a bust.

One of the safest picks in the draft.

No more trading back for Cooper Jr now though after his 40 time.

Might even require a trade up to get Cooper Jr which leaves us little ammo to trade up for Pregnon.

But if we could get Cooper Jr at 27 and Pregnon (or Malachi Lawrence if Pregnon is gone) falls to 50 I'm making that trade up from 58.
So many good OL to draft this year. But they go faster and a round sooner than most will mock.

In regards to the scheme, I'm hoping to see an evolution from Shanahan in the same way that McVay evolved. You can't continue to play the leverage and angle game with a light OL and fight for the perimeter against this Seattle defense. Their defensive line is way too strong at the point of attack, their LBs/Emmanwori are too damn fast and their DBs are ridiculously good at tackling and funneling things inside. I'd love to see Kyle do what McVay did and beef up the OL. Get bigger, nastier, more physical--stop trying to win the perimeter, get vertical and run the ball right down their throats. Punish them for staying in nickel in that lightbox. That's the key to unlocking their entire defense.

From your keyboard to Shanny's ears.

Read up on Logan Jones, if he doesn't fit the leadership/character profile Lynch desires then I don't know what they're looking for. Oh yeah, and he's really good.
Hey guys, I've taken a bit of a break from Niner news.

Based on my limited information, it seems the team has not met with the top-rated OL who are projected to go in the early rounds?

They scheduled a meeting with a late round prospect from Memphis.

Seriously disappointed in this stupid team if they ignore OL until late round for a second straight year.
