If we could move up in the third rd to get slaughter, we'd be better.
He's sneaky athletic, skilled, but just needs 5-10 lbs more muscle on upper body.

Does he get drafted in the top 100?

Oklahoma OG Fabechi Nwaiwu looks like a promising UDFA Center.

Hell no to trading up for that guy or for a center in general. If we were ever going to do that it should be for Conner Lew not Slaughter.

We only have 6 picks and if we're going to trade up it better be for an EDGE. FS, WR, or LG we really like and have targeted.

I think he does - this is the guy to get if wanted to invest draft capital in a C early. He goes top 100 even with his ACL tear ... means dude was a top 50 pick prob if no ACL injury. Trey Zuhn III at C is also a guy I like in the late 4th/5th round and he has experience at C, G, and OT.

But since Kyle loves Brendel doubt we use draft capital on a C esp with only 6 picks and so many needs to fill. Plus if go BPA and there is an elite corner that falls to #58 and is clearly BPA we should take that player even though CB not our most pressing need thus one of the needs below we would not be able to fill in the draft.

Starting EDGE
Future starting WR
FS with starter potential
Starting LG or one with a lot of upside to start - not the Connor Colby trash of the world in the 7th round
A quality TE #2 who could be a #1 if develops
Another DT maybe two
Another CB

That guy might go in the 4th round (or earlier). Highly doubt he goes UDFA and the fact he is a really good G that can play C really well too think he will be coveted by some teams.

I mocked him to us often at #92 to start at LG but someone said he was not a fit for our zone scheme .. I wouldn't know so ... there's that.

Brendel is 34 next season. Over the hill. Starting him will be disaster

I'd move Puni to center and draft a guard day 3.

I hate brendel as much as the next guy, but disaster is a little hyperbolic. I dont think were gonna find a starting center in the draft this year. Now what IS a disaster is he will be a 35 year old free agent with no apparent succession plan and a weak FA class outside of Joe Tippman.
