Max Iheanachor-OT-Arizona State

It's no secret how well he's performed this season and in the Senior Bowl. I feel like he's one of those players who could sneak into the back half of the 1st round of top of the 2nd.

I've only seen the clips people post on X, but the build, easy movement and natural knee bend reminded me a bit of Membou. I'm definitely interested and need to check out his tape.

Track down the ASU vs Texas Tech game. Good performance for several draft prospects.

Would be fine with him at #27 but more ideal to trade back a few spots and select him.

He definitely boosted his stock at Senior bowl and I can see him going earlier than expected. I'd be more than fine with him as the pick too. Such a fluid mover; like Phoenix said his background in soccer and basketball is evident. I do think we could plug him in at LG and then being Trent's successor.

If he would just be used as the swing then I don't want him at 27; I want a starter in the first round

Would like him if we could trade Mac Jones for another 2nd round pick & pick him up

Agreed and LG would be a great initial spot for him. But not all prospects make that transition seamlessly. Given he's already somewhat raw, I wouldn't be surprise if we would redshirt him in year 1.

Which then goes back to the dilemma of being able to draft playmaker for today and tomorrow like WR or EDGE vs. a project for the future.

I was going to make a thread for him but kept getting sidetracked. You do a much better job than me anyways.

I think Max is someone Kyle may actually pull the trigger on at 27 if we go OT. He seems like a great scheme fit. My only concern is return on the pick. As you say he's still a bit raw and the jump to the NFL is substantial. Ideally he sits behind Trent then takes over but obviously if you invest an early pick/especially first rounder even if a low one you want that player getting snaps and helping you before it's time for them to get paid. That's where my concern is. Usually you can move guys to guard and play them there until the vet they're going to replace outside retires/leaves in FA. But Max hasn't played football long. My concern is will a move inside where he has to learn new things mess him up at both positions?

Perfect world we're somehow able to see him drop to our 2nd round pick so the expectation for him to play isn't so high.

As some have said, getting a high 2nd round pick that we could use on him would be perfect. Most of the mock simulations I've been playing around with that's exactly what I've been doing after taking either the best WR at 27 or the best pass rusher.

i just dont see us picking an OT. It doesnt make sense to sit for 1+ years and have a first round pick getting no playing time unless there is an OT injury. I think we get an OT later or just push of the need to a future draft.

I think OG is a possibility we can use an upgrade at LG currently although i wouldnt put the need ranked super high. But if we get WR help and some DL depth i can see OG as the pick

As an ASU fan I'm surprised by the sudden surge in his draft stock.

I could see him as a late rounder development project type. But 1st round? Wow!

Hes definitely not a 1st round caliber prospect at his floor, but i think his senior bowl progression has led to a lot of confidence in his ability to reach his ceiling, and quickly.

Hope Lynch doesn't try to get fancy and miss their player once again. Ravens drafted rosengarten and Texans drafted ersery. This would be a developmental player for a year or swing tackle for that year. Since Lynch hasn't been extended and he and KS have missed on early picks for the last 10 years, I can finally see Lynch changing how he approaches the draft. Agree that he doesn't have a 1st rd grade. New CEO is gonna make this off-season interesting

CEO, GM, and HC all report into York. I don't think Al Guido's promotion to CEO changes anything.
