Why are people constantly hating on our drafts I feel we're as good as any team we are talented enough where we can have injuries to multiple all pro players and still compete for number 1 seed
I think the end goal is to win the super bowl. 49ers are no where close to that. Bosa was the last and only time that they hit on a 1st rd pick. That's by sheer coincidence that the Cardinals took Murray. Please look at the last 8 drafts and convince yourself that youre ok with at least 50% of the picks.
They hit on Aiyuk and McGlinchey. Jury still out on Pearsall and Williams.
You do know that on average a good draft is when a team "hits" on 3 out of their 7 draft picks. And that's a good draft. And when i say hit i mean those players have average careers. If you go back and look at past drafts and look at other teams draft classes you'd be amazed to see the vast majority of draft picks don't pan out at all. This regime has it's fair share of misses but i promise you its on par with the rest of the league. They have drafted several pro bowlers and all pro caliber players and that has set them apart from a lot of the other organizations.
I don't think some of you really understand just how much of a crapshoot the draft really is.
Just look at the Rams. They traded away most of their first round picks over the years and they haven't missed a beat. You know why? Because they know its such a crapshoot they'd rather trade for a proven player than draft a guy who probably isn't going to make it. Its smart because the NFL over values draft picks. You can literally trade away your 2nd round pick for a quality NFL starter. Meanwhile that 2nd round pick you just traded away has a 60% chance of being a bust.
