Beast, may be even better than EMW, it's hard to say. They both look like top prospects on tape to me.

For the life of me I cannot see how anyone can watch Genesis Smith and like the tape. Guy is gonna be whiff city in the NFL. If we take him after the garbage we've seen from Jayir, I'm gonna be absolutely LIVID.

i think its cause he has so much upside as a ballhawk bery good length and is fast and has good coverage abilities

He is a weak tackler and not the best in run support but if we are looking for a single high S who has high potential to create TO i see why he wouldbe the pick. I wouldnt rank him too high personally though around late R3 to R4 grade kind of guy. The S i would be thrilled with

R1 Dillon Thienman, EMW
R2: Haulcy, Ramsay, Clark, Wheatley
R3: Taafte, Fitzgerald, Smith

Those are the ones i personally have seen so far that i feel are fits for the team and the order i would take them

Ballhawk safety
So are we all done with Marques Sigle? Feel like he had some good moments and could develop or is he a straight up 5th rd backup and STer?

I think hes a fine player, but this team is dying for difference makers. There are some all-pro level safety prospects in the class.

This. Should have taken Xavier Watts last year instead of Martin when he was just sitting there.

I was hoping for Xavier Watts or Kevin Winston at the time. Although I did like the Nick Martin pick when they selected him, I wanted a Safety.

Glad someone sees him! I asked OTC how he feels about Bishop on the second page of this thread. I feel like he's being completely slept on while all the attention goes to Ramsey

Watts went after Martin??!!!! Oh sheeet I didn't even remember that. Thoughts Watts was a early 2nd rounder that amazingly fell but didnt know he fell past our 3rd rounder.

Huge fail by Shanalynch the HOF "safety"

Not hindsight either. A bunch of us wanted Watts with that selection.

We better hope Martin ends up being a player for us because for me and I think for a lot of people the draft started out great and then that pick took the wind out of a lot of people. Not so much that people hated Martin but that he wasn't even a top LB people wanted(I liked Buchanan and Bassa over Martin) and also the fact that most felt he was a substantial reach and there were a bunch of players people really wanted at that spot.

Going off memory the guys I really wanted at that pick were

Jaylin Noel
Jared Wilson
Xavier Watts
Jordan Burch

There was a number of others I would've loved there instead of Martin. But it is what it is now…let's hope he gives us better return moving forward so we don't have regrets.

Haven't had a chance to scout him in depth yet. So far it's been limited. I will say he seems like he has much better instincts than Jayir but not to the level of a guy like Michael Taffe IMO. I'm curious how he'll time cause I can't decide if I see the speed and range I want back there.

That said, elite instincts can mask some speed issues. Unfortunately for guys like Jayir, you can't be lacking in both..

I was able to look at Taafte he may be the worst tackler in the draft his 2024 tape was rough
So many intriguing prospects at the S position this year, no love for Jalon Kilgore out of South Carolina ?
