Big bodied receiver with some small receiver traits. Plays like a traditional bigger receiver, great red zone weapon, strong hands, uses his body well to block out defenders like a center in basketball, great at high pointing the football but also a steadily improving route runner who excels against both man and zone coverage. Great awareness at finding empty spots in the zone and will quickly move towards the QB when they are scrambling. Like Jennings he's great at snatching passes up high and beating out DB's for the football. Not a speed demon, probably a 4.55-4.6 40 guy but he's a long strider with the ability to run right past CB's if they hesitate. I think he'd be a nice complement to a guy like Pearsall and a great weapon for Purdy, particularly in the red zone. He's also a very willing and determined blocker so that definitely helps him in this offense. I see him as a very high end #2 WR in the NFL, a guy who will be a major threat on 3rd downs and around the goal line because of his ability to block out and beat out DBs to the football. More aggressive than a Keon Coleman and a better separator than someone like N'Keal Harry. Just draft good players. Focusing on specific attributes is how you end with a bunch of whiffs like the 49ers have in the last 5 years.

youre both acting like Stribling isnt a good player. I wasnt saying just get a guy with speed.

Also both of you are being super impatient its a long career let alone a season you cant say we missed because of half a season let along when the player has not even played due to injury.

Also on top of that our last few years drafts we are really racking up a lot of hits

That's not really it. It's just venting frustration because we don't have the opportunity to compare right now.

I knew, and Hero knew, that Boston was a baller and NFL ready. Stribling I wasn't sold on, but I really liked what I saw in the preseason. With the other injuries, he would've had a chance to be the #2 by now.

Unfortunately, him being injured himself, we will not have a chance for a long time to see evidence pointing to him being any better than Boston. And he's gonna be months behind in experience.
