not sure if you follow college football but he will be one of the best S prospects He wouldve been the first S off the board in this past years draft and maybe a top 115 to 20 pick but wasn't eligible. I think he was the only freshman S to ever lead the team in tackles too and was the first freshman in Alabama history to lead team in tackles

He will get some Ed Reed comps next year

Not sure if you follow the NFL Draft, but they say the same s**t about Safeties all the time.

Nothing spectacular. IMO. Malaki Starks is better. Give me a Safety that excels in coverage, but wraps up a WR. The days of hard hitting Safeties are over.

No they didn't. I LOVED Starks. I was all in that thread. No one had Starks going in the top 3/5. Not even close. They just said he was a guy that could do everything very well. Potential top 15 pick. That's about as good as it got. Top 15 isn't almost top 3.

its in the tweet dude
509 coverage snaps, 32 targets, 20 receptions allowed, 188 total yards allowed, 0 TD's allowed, 2 INT's, and 6 PD's.

He wasnt eligible this year but he wouldve been the top S to go in this years draft. He is going to get unreal hype next year by draft time he is easily the best S prospect since sean taylor

also who was the S this year ot last year that got that type of hype?

This is by Dan Brugler and Nick Baumgardner:

Starks debuted at No. 9 in my preseason top 50 — yet, I'm already worried I have him too low. His fourth-quarter interception is the type of play that makes him one of the best safety prospects we have seen over the last decade. Most safeties cannot defend a slot fade against speed, but Starks isn't most safeties. He stayed balanced in his transition, got his head turned and made an unreal interception. The body control and ball-attacking skills were tremendous.

Lol nice stats, still not buying it. Every year someone hypes up a Safety and every year it's the same, picked up outside of the top 10. Even if available to the 9ers, they wouldn't draft him in the 1st round.

well it looks like at his peak in his whole college career he was drafted at 10 with the bulk of his ranking in the top 15-20 range which is great but no where close to top 5

Think I have to go all the way back to 2010 last time I've heard major hype on a safety which were both Eric Berry and Earl Thomas. There was the honey badger was super hype but he fell fast after failing multi drug tests

Who said anything about position I said they say the same about a Safety every year.

Who is Mock Data base I posted something from someone who actually gets paid to put up articles.

You posted an article after 1 game which is kinda funny on multiple fronts:

1. Article also mentions Carson Beck as QB 1 top 10 pick. Dude sucks. Had to transfer to Miami bc he wasnt getting drafted.

2. At the end of the day Dane Brugler had Starks ranked #19 on his big board. Not even his highest ranked safety, the kid from South Carolina ranked #17. Also Bruglar has called Caleb Downs the best Safety in all of college ball the last 2 years.

3. MockdraftDatabase is a consensus ranking from a collection of people who get paid to put up articles as you say.

At this point in his career Caleb Downs is a better safety prospect then Starks was at the same point in his career. Not saying that will hold up next year depending on the year Downs has but he's a better prospect. He can do more too.
