Nah I think the 9ers will look to trade down then draft Nolen or Harmon. I'm still holding out hope that they're gonna bring him in for a visit.

I have a bad feeling about Nolen. Just his demeanor and the way he talks in interviews; I don't know it could be the talk of his character clouding my mind. But I'm very weary on the guy. Personally I wouldn't draft him unless he's there for our 2nd

I know what you mean, I got the same read on him too. But I'm hoping that he appreciates the team he grew up watching drafted him and just becomes a beast for the 9ers. No drama and I'm sure Lynch and Shanahan don't want to make the same mistake like they did with Reuben Foster, which is why I think they're bringing him in for a closer look. But I'm really hoping the 9ers trade outta 11 and pick up another 2nd, I think this is the draft to trade down in.

IMO I think they're high on Harmon

Gonna be stoked if they can trade down and pick up Harmon, people want to talk like he's a one hit wonder. But I he's had all those physical traits all along, maybe he just took advantage of better coaching a better DC. With Saleh back, I don't see how Harmon fails, I know Saleh will put him in the best position to succeed.

I honestly think Burch is destined to be a 9er. If I had one to choose one player that I had to put money on being a 9er it would be Burch.

Sure and Burch could also be had in the later rounds too. So I wouldn't put it past the 9ers to take him.

Yeah just listening to some folks that were at his pro-day, they all kinda say the same thing. He was the leader of that defense. Super competitive. Totally reshaped his body from MSU (over 340) to around 310 this past season. His teammates say he's a dog.

Trade down is ideal, if they want their guy, just take him end of the day. Can't control all the variables to get great draft value every rd.

same with Nolen, if he checks out character wise then go get him.

Oregon is also a very short trip. Just a one hour flight. No need to stay overnight.

Yeah I mean there are several pro day locations that I'm sure that applies to as well. Still they pretty much had the entire front office at Oregon's.

Reportedly an obscene amount of 49er scouts and FO guys were there though.

I know exactly what you mean and felt the same way when I watched him do interviews. I think it's confirmation bias getting to us after the character concern reports.

I mean it hits all our needs pretty much in the proper order too

1.11- Derrick Harmon, DT
2.45- Josh Conerly, OT
3.75- Jordan Burch, DE
3.100- Tez Johnson, WR
4.113- Terrance Ferguson, TE
4.138- Jeffrey Bassa, LB
5.147- Jamaree Caldwell, DT
5.160- Ajani Cornelius, OL
7.227- Jabaar Muhammed, CB
7.249- Jordan James, RB
7.252- Jestin Jacobs, LB

All we need to do is fit Dillon Gabriel in there somehow :)

He comes off a bit arrogant. #1 national recruit and probably being the best player his whole life probably helped there.

we will see, I like him as a football player.

talented team for sure!

Conerly isn't gonna be there in the 2nd and I'm kinda souring on Bassa a little.

A lot of great defensive linemen have that d*ckhead aura about them, so it doesn't bother me much. If he produces on the field, I'll be happy.

I love him as a football player and only have Mason Graham ahead of him at DT. We get either at #11 and it's going to be a wonderful start to our draft.

I can understanfd concerns about character but we've seen guys with no issues come in and be a pain in the ass. We had the bipolar personality of Haley. We saw Aldon Smith fell apart with alcohol issues. There have been others that had enough issues that they were eventually traded or released.

Aldon Smith had character red flags coming out of the draft. Baalke ignored them because he never gave a f**k about that s**t.

But a good example of who you're describing is Bowman. He had character concerns coming out too.

I remember reading it was well known he had a partying/drinking problem in league circles.

I didn't hear about his issues in college. I know he cme from a solid familty with both parents being teachers. Anyway he went on a downhill slide and neve rcould overcome it.

It doesn't change the fact that many players can hide behavior issues. Others that have them find ways to overcome. Sometomes you have to take the chance. Many players wityh issues are still really productive on the field.
My only concern with Nolan and guys like him is they aren't loyal at all. He played at 3 different high schools (almost 4 as he enrolled at IMG Academy but never played). He then played for Texas A&M and then went to Ole Miss. Thats 5 different schools in 6 years!!! No loyalty and they are going to chase the money, In 4 years if he's any good we are going to be competing with 31 other teams to resign him for a huge massive contract.

I know i'm old school but at some point transferring to multiple schools is a red flag. I know when i played football my teammates were my brothers. I'm not leaving them, we were in it together.
