We all know we're gonna draft Skattebo higher than we should

As a beaver fan where he played most his ball at. He is very much buyer beware. He is hit and miss type player with a bad attitude and don't like him off the field personality. I could be salty cause from this but to me he is a hard pass who already has a ton of miles on his body. I think he will have a short nfl career

I feel like Martinez is much of everything that Kyle was hoping to get from Trey Sermon. A more inside the tackles runner, a guy that can pick up the small yardage with his cutting ability and power.

I wouldn't be surprised though to see them draft a guy like Tuten who like you said is quite similar to Mostert in a lot of ways. RJ Harvey is another that I expect them to take a very close look at. I think they actually already met with him.

they have met RJ Harvey twice, at the senior bowl and the combine,... so they are on him,... at 5'8'' was the smaallest RB at the combine

the other RB met twice is Jacory Croskey-Merritt (5'11'', 208 lb),... a weird case,... entered 2024 as a sixth-year senior but just played one game (13 carries, 106 yards, at 8,2 yards per carry and 1 TD) before being held out because of eligibility issues,.... then went to the Shrine Bowl and was named MVP

And because all this (wasted season, mainly), he's expected to go day3 (or even UDFA)
In his only complete season at New Mexico (2023) he rushed for 1,190 yards on 189 carries for an impressive 6.3 yards per carry

God I hope not, I really don't see it with him.

How? Dudes an animal. He runs like Mike Alstott. He trucks defenders. He can't be tackled.

I like Skattebo a lot, I don't like the idea of taking any RB earlier than the 4th round at best. With this scheme, I'd rather invest in more OL and just bring in a bunch of UDFA backs to fight it out. I would happily take Martinez in the 5th or 6th round though. I think his physicality is something that this offense lacks and he'd be a great guy to have late in games or in short yardage situations.

100% agree. First 4 rounds should be lineman and secondary only in my opinion. 5th rd can be LB and RB. Hoping for 1 or 2 trade downs in rd 1 to get more picks in 2nd and 3rd. If that happens then a rb earlier makes sense.

Interesting take thanks. I'm not even sure Martinez is the best RB on his team! Fletcher looks at least as good to me.
