I would throw up - horrendous value there and if cannot get that Mike Green rep out of my head from the Senior Bowl.
I'll take damn anyone else there even Stewart.
This team values certain positions and doesn't really care about your value or the media.
They aren't gonna take a OG early. They aren't gonna take a CB early and overall I don't think they will take a LBer early. Just not how they operate.
meh about that one rep, overset. He also strapped up Abdul Carter this yr. Zero pressures allowed.
I like Conerly, he's a scheme fit for sure. I wouldn't be pumped taking him that high. Overall I find it highly unlikely they go offensive at 11
I don't think he makes it past the Texans
I wouldn't want Conerly at 11 as imo he is nowhere near BPA there. Agreed they would not take a guard high after hitting on Puni middle of the draft. I think the middle rounds are fair playground for finding a good guard anyways.
I have zero reason other than I believe they could take Johnson at 11. I think he's #1 corner potential and may very well be the BPA once we're on the clock. When BPA meets need, you don't overthink it. Going Johnson makes a lot of sense.
Conerly Jr isn't a scheme fit he looks like more of a mauler, I don't think he's fast enough for Shannan's run scheme. I don't understand all the talk about taking a corner, I like Lenoir and Green we could use another but at #11?
Gonna disagree that he's not a scheme fit, he's a pretty fluid mover with quick feet. He's lacking in the strength department. His anchor overall is not good, hence oversetting. He's probably gonna be at his best in a zone scheme with lots of play-action.

I don't want him there either. I'm just saying, SF doesn't give a rip what media mocks and analysts have to say.
OT always go higher than people think. Just like edge rushers and QBs.
I agree about CB, I find it highly unlikely they draft a CB in the 1st. I'd be okay with Johnson, but I'm not on the whole bandwagon where people think he's Surtain 2.0.
overall imo this draft is underwhelming at the top. We're lacking true blue chip guys.

We are eye to eye on this. I like Conerly at 43 no problem, but my guess is he goes much higher. They could easily "red shirt" him until so I know he is a real possibility at 11. I just want an instant starter at 11 who can hopefully improve the team day 1 etc.
With that in mind id rather they take a tackle in 3rd to develop a little at first. There are some good bodies that fit that mold this year. Again, most of the OT will probably fly off the board in the first two rounds as you mentioned. That means we should have some serious talent available on defense side though!
I do view Johnson as Blue chippy. Traditionally they haven't valued it, but the way this draft looks maybe they are thinking like us?

My first and only 2-round mock draft of the process β there will be trades! ??https://t.co/5EKwPT1nIQ pic.twitter.com/Vu2ZNlhKoJ

To save people clicks...dude has us trading up to #5 overall to draft Tyler Warren and picking up a 5th rounder while giving away #43.

He will go in the 1st. The need outweighs the supply.
I like Charles Grant, I think he's gonna go higher than others think as well. I'd love to get him in the 3rd.
yeah I don't view Johnson as a blue chip every yr top 10 prospect. Good player and I think he's a "safe" pick. I'd gladly take Cobee Bryant in the 3rd and use that 1st elsewhere.
I'd say the likelihood of SF drafting a DL in the 1st is at like 70%.

🤣 not only do they draft a position that we already have one of the best players at…they move up?!
Fantasy football moron.

Seriously. Not even sold on Warren being clear cut TE1 in this class and we move up with a ton of holes to fill and grab a friggin TE2???
That would be like the Draft Day move if the Browns actually had Myles Garrett on the roster....and even then it would make more sense cuz you still have 2 DEs playing at the same time.

I actually prefer Loveland. I'm rooting for Warren because he's a local kid from my hometown. We don't put professional athletes out that often. The last one was Michael Robinson... ironically also a Penn State kid. Sidenote...I also competed against Robinson in high school. Dude was an athletic freak of nature.
Anyhow I just think Loveland is a much smoother route runner and can get open organically. Warren is a good player but also benefited from much more schematic assistance in the Penn State offense.

Loveland is a better pass catching TE imo. He can actually separate. Warren was schemed up so much at PSU.
moving top 5 for a TE is a all-time Mike Ditka draft move
Warren would have it be the next Tony Gonzalez to justify that crazy s**t

I don't really see Kyle ever really drafting a RB in the 1st the Shannahans have a reputation that they plug and play RBs which they've proven. I suppose we did trade for cmc but he's more than a RB, I'd rather draft OL to complement shannys scheme but yeah when we have a healthy star RB his offense really starts firing on all cylinders

OBSESSED with the idea the 49ers will let 3/4 of their starting DL go, lose a starting LB, lose a starting S, lose a starting CB, extend TE George Kittle, sign TE Luke Farrell and then trade up in the 1st round to draft TE Tyler Warren

Bad enough that folks want to take him at 11, let alone moving up to 5 for a TE
