Thoughts on the 2025 draft

I'm really curious how everyone feels about the team??
They already traded DeeBo. Are, they trading anyone ells ?
My thoughts are the team is missing depth everywhere. They need help at DL, LB, a CB, a Free safety. OL and WR. A back up QB. The only position I think they're ok is at RB. If they trade or let a RB walk they could use help there as well. This hurts because I have wanted them to draft a Offensive Tackle for years and at 11 they have a good chance of landing a good OT. I really like Kelvin Banks Jr if he is there at 11, I think they should trade down and get extra picks. 1 extra second and a couple extra third round pick can build the depth back fast. They really need to draft BPA. If that is a LB they need one. If that is a DT there could use 1 or 2. If that is a WR they can use one. If it's an OL they can use some help. If a QB they like falls to end of the third or later draft a back up QB. I think they need a little bit of help everywhere. If they draft correctly and do something like this I think they can be back in 1 or 2 years and make another run.

Poll didn't really reflect my perspective on the team. Team isn't going to sniff a SB this coming year. This is a rebuilding year. I don't think it matters if they pick at 11 or trade back, either path can be successful. They have plenty of draft picks, so it isn't like they need more.

I disagree.

We have cap space and 11 draft picks. And the easiest schedule in the league. All we have to do is stay relatively healthy and it should be a cake walk to the playoffs.

Our 2024 draft was fantastic and we probably have 4 very good starters out of that class and Guerendo and Cowing will play big roles.

This isn't a rebuilding year. It's a reset. Get rid of some over priced / injured guys like Deebo, Hargrave and maybe even Aiyuk. Upgrade on weak starters like Brendel at C and Collins at DT.

That's where I'm at, hit on a decent class this year, unite the Bosa brothers and go get it.
Looks like a "Might as well take a OT" kind of draft in the first round
The polling options are slanted. This is a rebuild year. BPA is the only way - there are so many holes and so many possibilities that sitting pat and drafting BPA for the first couple of rounds is the best approach.
How about signing Rodgers to a two year deal for about 25% of whatever they want to pay Purdy. Trade Purdy to the Saints for their number 9 pick. ( They can recoup some of their draft capital by trading Carr). Pick the two BPA at 9 and 11 and pick a developmental qb later. Let the Saints overpay him.
There are definitely choices you don't have in the poll.

The roster is not "run it back" worthy considering we just went 6-11 and released or lost a bunch of guys from that roster. You don't just run it back to a SB missing key contributors.

However there isn't an instant need to trade down. It may be a good idea if there isn't slam dunk pick for us at 11 and unfortunately it's looking like it but you can't force teams to trade with you.

We have 11 picks. Just need to nail as many as we can and ideally at the top of the draft this time and hope we land some special talents to replace the starters we lost.

How about no?
They didn't do jack in free agency. Its obvious they're rebuilding. The goal over the next 2 years is to get younger and faster. This team looked slow and old last season. The gas ran out fast. They were playing harder in 2017 with a bunch of no names and Brian Hoyer at QB.

Also I am sure Lynch would love to trade back, but you need a trade partner for that. This isn't a good Quarterback draft, so no ones going to trade up. I don't think anyone likes Shedeur

Um, the team looked injured last season. That is why the gas ran out. Agree with you about trading back though.
