Armand Membou Mizzou OT

I would be strongly in favor of that pick. Not sure he will last too us or not. After blowing up both the Senior Bowl and Combine. Perhaps his very slightly shorter height (but not terrible) will drop him a little. Enough to last to #11. Because if he was 6'6" with the other measurables he would be long gone. Top 5 and maybe top 3. The only reason he can last until us is the height. Because all other measurables and game tape are outstanding. He has everything but the height. Still I think he will be good as a floor and maybe great as a ceiling. He's pretty close to can't miss if he stays healthy. If he couldn't handle Tackle in the NFL (which I think he can) you kick him in to Guard and you got an All Pro for 12 - 15 years.

Quenton Nelson - Notre Dame - Colts - 2018 - 1st round - 6 overall - Guard.

6'5" 330 lbs.

Armand Membu

6'4" 332 lbs. 4.91 40 yard dash.

So even if you can get a Guard of that value or pretty close to similar it's worth that high of a pick. I think he can play Tackle which is even better. Seems to have the feet for it and can mirror and slide will. He's incredibly powerful at the point of attack. He engulfs and buries defenders with his power.

Decided to look at Rashawn Slater RAS number (don't know how to embed it here) just to compare the 2 and Membou has the better numbers on all categories in terms of length and explosiveness. Membou weigh at 335 lbs vs Slater at 304 lbs. Slater was picked at 13. Damn, he will get pick before 11 or some team will trade ahead of us lol.

Here are some highlights vs the Texas A&M studs. Nice battle out there.

Damn. Was that supposed to be a highlight clip of Membou or Scourton and Stewart?

Missouri doubled Scourton or chipped him and gave Membou help on most pass plays and Membou didn't get any movement in the run game vs either guy.

I think I may be a bigger fan of Scourton and Stewart now over Membou.

Highlights for all 3 vs fellow studs.

I didn't see much from Membou that makes him a legit top 10 pick. In that clip at least.

LIke I said he got help with a double or chip on most pass plays when Scourton was opposite him and he didn't get any push in the run game.

And that's crazy considering he has like 50-60 pounds on Scourton. And Stewart beat him at least twice inside with a swim move.
A lot of the draft guys in the media that i respect are very high on Membou. Dane Brugler had him at #8 on his big board. Kyle Crabbs has him at 16 and consistently mocks him to the Niners.

This guy is gaining a lot of steam.

Wouldn't be shocked if he goes top 10.

Bears probably take him right in front of us

Good!

I'd rather have Will Campbell if we go Oline.

Watch Scourton vs Campbell. Scourton made him look very ordinary.

I would be fine with either.

Membou has been checking the boxes though. Film is damn good all the same.

This draft will be one of the more interesting in years for the 49ers and their fans. First of all because wthey have so many needs. They also have a lot of picks with 4 in the top 100. They're in a good position to make trades or get players that can help even if they stand pat. Plus we won't have to wait and watch while good players get snatched up while the Niners wait until the end of the round.

I feel like it could be similar to last yr, get a handful of starters, but not a ton of pro-bowlers.

Sucks it's the yr we're drafting top 11, this draft just isn't flush with blue chip guys imo.

You never know. How mny supposed blue chips end up as average or worse. There is enough quality to improve the team and that's all that mtters. Too many pro bowlers and you end up with cap problems that causes you to let some players go. Some of thr Niners best players weren' considered blue chip prospects when they were drafted.
