Aireontae Ersery - OT - Minnesota

6'6" 331 lbs. 5.01 40 time.

Big Ten OL of the year. First team all Big Ten. Started 3 years. He was a beast at the Senior Bowl drills. People had a hell of a time getting around him or trying to go through him. He can mirror and slide well in the drills. Appears to have good feet for his size. 40 time is great for his size. That's a big, powerful man who can really run well.

Must be sky rocketing up the draft boards now. Probably a 1st round guy at this point. The name was known but after the Senior Bowl and Combine he has to be moving up a lot now.

What would your plan be? 11 is surely too high and I'd be very surprised if he was there with our 2nd, trade up, trade down?

I think he can go a lot higher than expected. He's a beast. Huge and powerful guy who is athletic. His workout is somewhat overshadowed by some others. But it's great in his own right. You can't teach his height, weight and reach. He's a very big man. He looked great at the Senior Bowl in drills. People had a hell of a time trying to get around him. Once he locked on he dominated them too with power. You could trade down a bit maybe. Expect him to go higher than what the mocks currently have him at though. He's really a good player.

Most mocks have him going around 47. I would like him at 43 or trade up from 43 for Josh connerly after trading back in the 1st round and acquiring an additional 2nd rd pick. He would be an upgrade at either LG or rt.

He's much, much better than 47. Those mocks haven't been paying attention to the Senior Bowl and Combine. He blew up both. He should go in the 1st round now. I'd be surprised to see him there in the 2nd. I don't think he's available there. Some of those mocks are months old and have not updated for the Senior Bowl and Combine. In which case you update your data points and new information. Some of them are just plain wrong too. He will likely go higher than that IMO.
I'm not sold on Ersery. I dont see good hands. Punches are often not timed or placed well. Plays upright and lacks lateral speed and get burned on the oustide by speed and bend, and gets torched on inside counters. The matchup with Abdul Carter, and of course thats a tough one, but it was not good. I dont see LT in the physical profile. Possible initial fit at RT in power running schemes like Baltimore. If the O Line coaches think the hands can be cleaned up, then maybe adaptable to more schemes. I'd certainly give him a fair shake at tackle first, but I think he might find a real nice home at guard where his vertical speed and power are mint.
2025 NFL Mock Draft, 5.0: Major trades, Travis Hunter slips and multiple running backs selected

Aireontae Ersery #11 to 49ers in the first round. There you go. A mock with him going that high and to us.

MSN mock. For whatever reason it's not allowing me to put the link in here. Story by Colton Edwards writing for MSN. You can search it. It's online.

11. San Francisco 49ers - Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

Aireontae Ersery is my top offensive tackle in this draft. He offers versatility by playing both guard and tackle positions. He demonstrates good initial quickness off the snap and effectively establishes inside leverage. Ersery could be Trent Williams' long-term replacement. He's the perfect fit in Shanahan's offense.

I've just stated that I think he could end up at guard, but the bold is misleading. Has he actually played guard? I dont think one snap in college. So the versatility is more that we are not sure if he can play tackle, so might end up at guard. That's not quite as positive as it sounds imo.

I think he could be a beast RT. He has powerful hand punch, strong base, length and pretty good athleticism. If he couldn't do that you could kick him in to Guard and I think he could dominate. With his base and power. Not sure if he can take over for Trent Williams at LT. But he's a big, powerful guy, with length, strong base and pretty good speed for his size. He's a pretty good athlete for that size. He will go pretty high. Mocks now have him in the 1st and they are right IMO.

I love the kid.. he played for the BEST coach in college.. 11 may be too high, I would trade down to the 15th spot, but if not takers, then I'll have to draft him on the 11th spot.

He'll be a RT at first, then can be move to the LT spot..

Yeah I agree. He's very underrated in this draft. His workouts were slightly over shadowed by some others. But he put up some beast numbers too. When you consider his size. His height, reach, length, base and power you can't teach. He was a really excellent player in College. I think he can be a very good pro on the offensive line. I would be fine with this pick.
He is my favorite OL prospect in the draft.

He has to clean up the pass protection, mainly hand placement and keying the blitz but those are all coachable. But he still shows elite traits. He shut down and dominated Abdul Carter this year.

In the run game he is devastating. He's a monster.

If he's there in round 2 it's a no brainer. He can easily slot in at LG and then take over at LT when Trent retires

Yeah he's really good. He won't be there in round 2. He's a round 1 guy.

He's not gonna make the noise that Trent Williams did over the years but Air Ers will be the best in the NFL if he can stay healthy..
