2025 Draft Class: IDL

If we do avoid all of that in the 1st, just give me as many Texas guys as you can, with Swinson from LSU.

Collins, Broughton and Sorrell can all play. Simple fact is though, only the Rams have successfully started multiple rookies on their D-Line and had success, and I'm not seeing a Jared Verse in this class.

If I had to put money on someone, I think Harmon is going to be the pick.

I really like Harmon, so I think that's a great way to kick off the draft for the 49ers.

I'm watching the Ohio St game, Donovan Jackson started off handling him and I wasn't that impressed, then he switched sides and gave the RG fits, drew doubles and split them and made plays including a big fumble force and recovery on Judkins. Will keep watching but I can see why you like him.

I quite like big Caldwell as well. Not sure about his motor though, seems to be off the field a lot .

Donovan Jackson. I want this guy.
I agree that SF is very high on Harmon. I also think they love Tyliek Williams, who is a monster vs the run. Although it seems he would be a day 2, or mid 20's?

That's fair, scheme fit as well, mobile and stout. I was enjoying their battle, but made a lot of sense to move Harmon away from him.

Getting Harmon to me would be making up for trading away Buckner. Harmon not as good of a pass rusher or run defender than Buckner but I believe he's right there as good as Buckner

I like him, but don't have him on the same level as Buck, maybe better than AA though. For me does everything well, but not sure there's anything elite. Is that worth it at #11? Possibly but the board would have to fall badly with no trade options.

I'm still in the Jalon Walker camp, I see more special things. Harmon for me is hitting a double, I'm swinging for the fences at #11.

Is Harmon better than say Jeanty or Warren if they are both on the board at 11...

I think not.

The former two would he BPA + they are two of the safest picks in the draft where you KNOW they will be good.

If I can't trade back I'm gonna pick one of those two to maximize the value of the pick.

This draft is deepest at DT so there's still going to be Sanders, Alexander, Norman-Lott, Farmer, West, Pegues in rounds 2-4 so I'm not reaching.

Problem is Shanalynch reach for need early which is why they ****img suck in rounds 1-2.

So would not be shocked with Harmon at all and rather have him over Stewart.

Still i prefer EDGE at 11 - too bad Mike Green has those off the field issues as he is worth #11 otherwise.

Exactly. Harmon at 11 is a reach plain and simple and have to HOPE he is really good.

That's not good.

Harmon has little chance to be a superstar which is why I'm swinging for the fences even if not at a position of need. Jeanty better not be on the board if we go Harmon. If he is, trade back to someone who wants Jeanty like Denver and then pick Harmon if you want him.

Call should go like "You want Jeanty/Warren what will you give me because we prefer to trade back but we're taking him if we can't make a deal."

To each their own, but I think the ideal scenario is a penetrating technical specimen & a run stuffing fatty!

Annoyingly we also need an edge setting, block shedding DE & a 3rd down pass rusher opposite Bosa.

I have no idea how it's come to this.

Drake Jackson, Buckner trade, and Hargrave failures is how we got to this.

Deeper than that for me, never replaced DJ Jones, and Omenihu out performed his short deal.

Honestly I think the biggest difference is that we've been figured out. I blame Saleh, he shouted from the rooftops about all gas no brakes, and then all of a sudden everyone was using it against us with traps, whams and counters.

He isn't a reach. You have to hope any one you draft will be really good.

The worst thing we can do is swing for the fence. We need a player that's a day 1 starter and has the ability to become more.

Explain to me why Harmon can't be great? You've said this multiple times and haven't provided why.

im not saying he can be Chris Jones, but he's got that athletic profile and measurables. Harmon can play up and down that DL.

he changed his body from his time at MSU to Oregon and played in a defense suited for his playing style. He went on to lead the nation in pressures at IDL.

People are sleeping on Harmon. He's a damn good player with damn good physical traits.

That's all I'm saying. He's legit bigger than both Buck and AA (20lbs +) he's got length and massive hands. He's explosive and has twitch for a guy his size. They can line him up all over the DL.

no injury issues, improved throughout college, has great character and was the leader of that defense.

Analysts have been moving him up their draft boards all off season. Dane has him 16th overall, DJ has him 23rd now. A ton of them have him as DT#2.

when football minds say this…how could you not want that?

"He plays like a Raven or a Steeler. Off the tape, he reminds me of a young Cam Heyward but bigger." -- NFC executive

i want a good safe player that plays an impact position of need with my early pick. He fits that.
