CMC can be used as a OW. Pound the rock with Skattebo and Mason then bring in Guerendo to hit the deep shot.

One thing I don't like about Shanahan (and it may not even be his fault) is that he over uses CMC. This season I hope to see more rotation at RB, mix in everyone that's active on game day. Defense would get worn the f**k out if they have to deal with CMC, Skattebo and Guerendo.

I really like Skattebo and would be well up for this, but you're right Kyle would rather run CMC 25+ times a game, which might get him another rushing title, but more likely miss a ton of games.

No RB besides CMC is set in stone, they could always be moved any time this off season. Besides, Mason is always hurt, time to get RB's that stay healthy.

They tendered him as a 2nd round. It doesn't mean thats the pick we want. If sign tries to sign Mason away from the 9ers and the 9ers don't match the contract, they would get a 2nd round pick.
So hopefully they can trade him for a 5th!!!!

Yep. We did the same thing with Matt Breida a few years ago. Put a 2nd round tender on him and traded him for a 5th to Miami

A $5m backup RB makes no sense. That would be the value of the entire Skattebo contract.
