2025 Draft Class: OL

NFL.com projection was Zack Martin.
Titans drafted him not really committing where he is going to play at. He is starting at OG for now after his awesome college career including as an Outland trophy finalist as a LT. His length is substandard for a tackle and his RAS was good. We'll see what team drafts Will Campbell and where they plan to play him. Hey, I will be thrilled if we come out either Membou/Campbell if one of them is the pick as that solidify the OL.

Now they are talking about Membou with top 10 buzz. Just our luck. Our guy puts on such a good combine performance we maybe can't get him now.

We have to deal up a few picks. Maybe to #8 or #9. Throw in a 3rd or 4th. I think something like that is roughly possible. Too much draft capital given up otherwise. IMO it's worth it. Even if we part with a compensatory 3rd or whatever. Looks about right on the draft calculators. Something in that range.

It's both good and bad. Bad - he'll get taken before us. Good - one of the blue chip player falls to us.

Yeah 2 QB's plus him. You are looking at something top 8ish if you stay put at #11. Which is why I think we should stay put. Somebody has to fall. They simply can't all go higher than that. Several of some of those top tier guys will be there. If you can get a player of that value just stay put and pick it. We need blue chip guys to turn around the franchise. I don't think we need depth as much as game changers at certain positions.

PFF has him going #5 to the Jaguars now. I think he will be LONG GONE by #11.

Exactly. 11 is BPA (and I still don't want a WR).

2nd round on we worry about obvious needs against bpa unless someone unexpected falls.

CBS has him still in play for us and going #11 and us taking a Safety. LOL. But if he was there we should take him. Still something top 8ish or so will fall to us I think. 2 QB's, maybe the AZ WR or Membou. Something else top 7ish or top 8ish has to fall to us. We probably don't take a WR. We don't need QB. Sadly Membou may be gone. But somebody has to be there. We are in good position at #11 and should stay put and pick.

Biggest thing is making sure at LEAST 2 QBs go top 10. Wish Sanders would secure himself a top 5 spot and would be great if another QB jumped into the top 10 as well but doubt it happens.

Hunter and Carter are guaranteed top 10 selections.

Unfortunately too many other picks for us to wait out. I'd rather we be on the board with one or several of Campbell, Membou and Mason Graham. I think any of the 3 would make us a stronger team at a key spot.

Agreed. Sometimes in simulations I am only left with Starks and or Johnson, not horrible, but that's when I like trading down a couple times.

I like the same three as easy choices, but believe they will all be gone.

It's possible someone like that will be there or even a few possible like that. Which is why I think we should stay put and pick. I actually view this year as a real opportunity. Normally if healthy and we add some players we are probably looking at #22 - #31 or maybe #32 pick if we get lucky. So this is a chance to add a blue chip player. A super talented guy at a position of need will help us more than depth. I hope it's a line player on either side. Just have to take what falls. You can't control the draft. But assuming we don't need QB and WR probably something top 8ish or 7ish will just have to fall to us at #11. The math simply works that way. So we are in a great spot actually.

If he moves up then maybe Graham drops. Either way, someone good will be there at #11.

Totally. If we miss out on Membou, hope Graham falls. From relative unknown to a possible top 10 pick after pretty much acing the draft process to go with a solid film,..not surprised. Coming into the season, it was Kelvin Banks, Will Campbell are the headliners getting all the hype and rightfully so.

Where's NC who was going off about LA spending for IOL this time last yr?

maybe this pushes OL down a little for the Bears at 11?

I would say he's pretty damn close to a "blue chip" guys in this draft. Honestly outside of Hunter, Carter and Graham (and he has his warts) plus maybe Jeanty I don't see real blue chip guys.
Bears probably aren't going OL in the first, which is nice
