Bro what you talking about he NEVER played man. Pull up his film vs Marvin Harrison dude went toe to toe with the best college WR in man coverage and held him to 3 receptions. He jammed Marvin out the club and most CBs in the NFL aren't jamming at the line it's normally off coverage and zones that become man. I get it he's not your preferred pick but you do this every year where you tear down prospects you don't want us to draft and normally I agree but you can miss me on this one my preference isn't CB but Johnson's a dog.

Please show me.

I didn't see much as far as press man goes?

im not tearing him down, I don't think he's a straight up lockdown press man CB. I think he's much better as a zone CB and I don't think that's something you need to spend up for. Hence why we don't usually draft CBs early…again I don't think it's a bad pick, I don't really see him as a special CB. I could be totally wrong.

In this video he shows the ability to play press, but shows that he gives a lot of looks to the offense. Similar to Charvarius Ward. IMO

Thank you for this!
SLEEPER ALERT: John Saunders Jr, Ole Miss
This thread along with all the mock drafts I see tells me that there isn't any single player or position that the Niners should target at #11. The opinions are all over the place. I've seen DTs, OTs. LBs, DBs TEs and even WRs proposed at that spot. Several different players for each.

It all boils down to no matter who they take there will be people saying it was a good pick and some that will say it was the wrong pick. There justisn't any consensus pick ths year. Whoever they take in round one may be no better than round two. It's that kind of year.

There is one main argument for drafting DE or DT early. Players who will be under contract after the 2025 season:
  1. Nick Bosa
  2. Robert Beal

While you could say the same about QB & TE, both Purdy and Kittle are negotiating extensions, so it seems likely that we will see two DL picks on days one and two.
If Niners took Will Johnson, it would be nice if Hufanga could be retained.

Yep. And after this year we will only have Evan Anderson (ERFA) and Sam Okuayinonu (RFA) at DT.

Leonard Floyd
Maliek Collins
Yetur Gross Matos
Jordan Elliot
Khalia Davis

All UFA's

I think we hit DLine hard this year. At least a couple signings at DE and DT and then 3 or 4 rookies. At least 2 in the first 3 rounds.

We are also projected to have 106 million in cap space (Not including the contracts given out this year of course to pending UFA's Purdy and Kittle) with only Jennings and McKivitz as pending UFA's.

That's why I'm not opposed to trading Aiyuk this year to get his cap hit off the books for next year to give us even more cap space. I don't think he will ever live up to that 30 mil a year contract.
Matt Miller only has 14 players with 1st round grades, only one DT, 3 edge, 2 OT

Interesting. But it does note the draft is still deeper than last years.

Miller's grades are in line with Todd Mcshay too. What's interesting is they both have Mykel Williams and jalon walker at the top. Other draft "experts" have these two guys all over the place.
Safety has moved up on needs for me. I have ZERO confidence in Jaiir as the starter; I just ain't sure the Niners feel the same. How TF they can watch his film and be confident would be beyond me though
