I watched a lot of him last year before he decided to go back to school. Was looking for a day 2 pass rusher, and I convinced myself that he reminded me of Josh Sweat as a prospect who I loved. But the more I watched, the less I liked. Ball goes the other way? Loaf. Run play? Loaf. Fails to beat the tackle to their corner? Loaf. I saw a player that took plays off and a player that isn't ready to play the run on a consistent basis in the NFL.

Sign Joey Bosa and Jonathan Allen
Cut Yetur Gross Matos and Jordan Elliot

Draft
*Mason Graham, Mykel Williams, Shemar Stewart, Armand Membou and Will Campbell gone.

Pick 1.11 is between Will Johnson, Jahdae Barron, Malachi Starks or Kenneth Grant.

1.11- Will Johnson, CB- Michigan

*Walter Nolan, Tyleik Williams, Darius Alexander and Derrick Harmon are done .

Pick 2.43 is between TJ Sanders, Princely Unanmielen or Xavier Watts

2.43- Princely Umanmielen, DE- Ole Miss

Pick 3.74 is between Chris Paul or Andrew Mukuba. Really wanted Xavier Restrepo, Jack Bech or Cam Skattebo here. But Mukuba falls to us at 3.99.

3.74- Chris Paul, LB- Ole Miss

3.99- Andrew Mukuba, FS- Texas

4.112- Jamaree Caldwell, NT- Oregon

4.138- CJ West, DT- Indiana

4.139- Nick Martin, LB- Oklahoma State

5.148- Jackson Hawes, TE- Georgia Tech

I'd be pretty happy with this offseason except Princely.
if you're gonna screw up our cap, might as well go big and get myles garrett instead of JA & JB

Bosa and Allen shouldn't cost a ton. And last I checked we don't have to give up multiple 1sts for either of them :)

Any draft with Jamaree Caldwell and CJ West get my

I'll take Will Johnson too. If Princely is not what the Niners want people can sub in Donovan Ezerakiu of however you spell it in the 2nd round. I doubt Makuba falls to 99 but if he does we better run up to the podium with that pick.

Good draft.

When you get to a point where with a prospect you don't want this is the merry-go-round we all watch you continue to put your quarter in.

I said we don't draft CBs early because of the scheme we play. You can find good zone coverage CBs later.

I said Johnson (from what I've seen) never really plays press and I would prefer a CB that gets up and jams a teams #1WR at the LOS and also has the recovery speed to make it work. I'm sick of seeing our CBs 10 yards off the LOS constantly.

you're literally in the OL/membou thread talking about how we won't draft an OT high because we never do

Nowhere did I say I don't want Johnson, in fact I've said multiple times, I think he would start immediately and they could do way worse at pick 11.

talking about why I don't think he will be the pick…doesn't equal me hating the prospect. When you start to understand that we can have way better discussions.

Oh yes, the other thing you do. Beat the prospect down then claim you'd be fine with him. Lol.

What I said about Membou was they fill starting holes 1st. I also said Jon and Kyle hasn't proven to be interested in drafting an OT to move him to guard. You of all people should know how Kyle values guards. You've stated it enough over the years. Yet here you are wiling to spend pick 11 on one that has at the very least limited experience playing said position.

In the end you continue to do you. We're all familiar with your work.
I'm staying away from CB at 11 unless he is the clear best rated player above the dline. Covering wr wont matter if the defense can't stop the run. This must be the team's priority. Shanalynch inherited a terrible team, but a team that had Buckner and Armstead. We need that again to play the kind of football Shanny wants to play.

And yet here you are telling me about what they will or wont do regarding OL lol…but I'm apparently not allowed to when it comes to CB…When we all know that don't invest heavily there all the same. You of all people should know this.

I'm allowed to say why I think a prospect is good for this team, if they're worthy of being drafted so high and what I like and don't like about them…I'm also allowed to say I wouldn't hate the pick end of the day….Even though past drafts show they more than likely don't go in that direction.

We're all familiar with your work as will….condescending per usual.

Defense has always been built on the DL, I have more faith in them finding CBs that fit the scheme then a I do them finding DL.

that said if they fix the DL via FA then it will give more flexibility

Bro what you talking about he NEVER played man. Pull up his film vs Marvin Harrison dude went toe to toe with the best college WR in man coverage and held him to 3 receptions. He jammed Marvin out the club and most CBs in the NFL aren't jamming at the line it's normally off coverage and zones that become man. I get it he's not your preferred pick but you do this every year where you tear down prospects you don't want us to draft and normally I agree but you can miss me on this one my preference isn't CB but Johnson's a dog.

Please show me.

I didn't see much as far as press man goes?

im not tearing him down, I don't think he's a straight up lockdown press man CB. I think he's much better as a zone CB and I don't think that's something you need to spend up for. Hence why we don't usually draft CBs early…again I don't think it's a bad pick, I don't really see him as a special CB. I could be totally wrong.

In this video he shows the ability to play press, but shows that he gives a lot of looks to the offense. Similar to Charvarius Ward. IMO
