I think it's entirely realistic that the front office doesn't think that McKivitz is someone that needs to be pushed to the bench.

I agree there. I also don't know if they're gonna resign him after this yr.
I still think fans are overlooking Jihaad Campbell...I think he's a very real possibility.

Especially this offseason when we already have enough positions needing replaced.

Perhaps but he's still only signed for next season. Trent is no spring chicken and our swing tackle is a free agent.

I hope it doesn't happen of course but if we blink we could be in big trouble there.
Is there a thread for the 2025 Comp picks? Will the extra picks be added to the current list for this draft?

That's because he doesn't.

Good take but you can also make the case that last years draft going the way it did and being one of our best hauls by the looks of it should encourage them to stick with the BPA type method.

Personally I think Membou would be able to push McKivitz to the bench(maybe a trade option) similar to how McGlinchey pushed out Trent Brown.

Tho I can also see them going with the other spots you mentioned. I think when we address WR will be impacted by whether or not Aiyuk is on the roster. I'd hate to draft WR early a year after taking one in round 1 and 4 but it may be the best way to fill Aiyuk's shoes if he's moved.

After going over that Texas AM tape a few times, there's no way Membou would be an upgrade on McKivitz as a RT. He may offer slightly more agility as a pass blocker and has quick feet and a nice punch but we would not be able to run to the right at all with him as a tackle IMO unless he got help on every snap.

More so than Jalon Walker? Which one is a better fit in your opinion?

This is exactly what I did when Trey Lance was our pick. Friends blowing my phone up laughing. Do not disturb and went to bed

I was just happy it wasn't McCorkle. Wanted Fields, turns out it was all gonna be bad lol.

Walker is an edge rusher who can play little bit in coverage. Campbell is more of a transitional off ball LBer that can rush the passer a little bit.

Neither are worth a top 11 pick imo

Agreed! I'm in the same boat as alot of you. I too am ready for them to have a succession plan in place at OT. It just seems unlikely they'll do so with our 1st couple rounders unless a glaring hole presents itself

Campbell...if the team is looking to replace Greenlaw. Let's examine a little bit..

Greenlaw might walk
Fred is getting older
Saleh reportedly wants more speed and violence
Campbell reportedly going high 1st round based on combine chatter amongst teams/scouts

I agree that he's a possibility. He's a near Warner clone as far as size and playing style but he's a little faster. If Greenlaw was signed and healthy I wouldn't consider it but it's very possible that he could leave. This defense needs good LBs to play well. We saw how much it suffered last season without Greenlaw and how much better they looked for the short time he returned. Wide 9 means wide gaps. Those gaps need to be filled by quick LBs.
