2025 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

Meh. Bartch is nothing but a backup. I don't think he makes the team over Burford who looked good when he was on the left side or even Nick Zakelj who had more snaps.

And there's not need to replace McKivitiz. He was a league average RT and wasn't a liability which and is great value on his contract. Plus he is reliable.

I also don't think we want to go into the year with 3 new starters on the Oline. It would be nice to bring back Moore on a decent deal too as a swing tackle. But that's why it would be nice to draft a tackle and start him at guard. If Williams misses time he can slide out to tackle and we have depth at guard.

2024 Oline snaps:

LT- Trent Williams - 649
LG- Aaron Banks - 775
C- Jake Brendel - 1072
RG- Dominic Puni - 1078
RT- Colton McKivitz - 1062

Backup guard snaps:

Nick Zakelj- 162
Spencer Burford- 113 (some at tackle too)
Ben Bartch - 65

Backup tackle snaps:

Jaylon Moore - 271
Charlie Heck - 87
Austen Pleasants - 67

someone didn't watch Bart

He's going to be our starting LG if we don't get someone better in FA

Mck looked good cause Brendal s**t the bed. Mck will be back as the weakest link if we can get a better Center.

Alfie's OL is the way i see it also. This line could get us over the hump

I watched him and his whole 65 snaps. It will take a whole lot more than that to anoint him as the starter.

Apparently the team sees him that way too because his $1.3 mil contract is less than what rookies will get.

And how does a center being horrible make a RT look better? Care to explain that one?

If you go the mock drafts the 49ers will have about 20 first round picks. I've never seen so many differing opinions on who they'll pick in the first.

That's just this time of the year.

I see only 6 maybe 7 legit candidates. Campbell, Simmons, Membou, Banks, Graham and Johnson. Nolan and Pearce having character concerns makes them unlikely. I don't think this FO will be interested in a safety in the first. With Graham and Johnson likely gone I'm figuring we are zeroing in on a Tackle hopefully Membou is their guy.

Usually there is some kind of consensus that focuses on 2 or 3 players. This year every mock has a different guy. I've seen a couple safeties, a CB, Oline, seversl interior D linemen, edge rushers and at least one LB.

I'm praying for a small trade up. Yah I don't they'll take a Safety with the 11th pick either. But after the off season Membou is showing, I wouldn't doubt it if he goes into the top 10.

I'd be shocked as hell if they took a Safety at #11. I'm on the fence with taking OL unless of course it's Will Campbell but no way he falls.

That and I would not draft Simmons coming off that serious injury.

Me neither, not with our track record.
