I know sacks isn't the only stat to use to judge a player. But 9 sacks in 3 years is just head scratching. He should have 9 just from the cupcake portions of their schedule. I wouldn't be mad if they drafted him. Trading up for him IMO would be asinine. That though again is because I don't expect Aaron Donald type production. Which IMO is what he would have to put up to separate himself from all the other viable options we have in this particular draft. .

Man I'm warming up to Walter Nolen (in a trade down). Love graham and I think if he got to us that would be a home run pick. I'm kinda over moving up for anyone in this draft though.

Interesting rankings. Jalon Walker is all over the place. I tend to grab him when doing the PFF simulator cuz I think he's the type of athlete who could be used as a chess piece for us but I've seen a lot of places have him going top 10 also.
The draft prospect list will change after the combine. It always does. The Niners just need to take the best O or D line player available at #11. They need help in both areas so get the highest rated player in one of those 2 positions when it's their turn.

Yeah he's sitting there in the 2nd rd a lot in PFF. That isn't gonna happen.

im not into undersized what if pass rushers in the top 10ish. Not every off-ball LBer is parsons. Just a lot of projection there.

Damnit I wish I could see this; Brugler has my respect for anything draft related.

If i was a 3-4 team i'd be doing what i could to get Jalon Walker.

Rough projections but something like this could work
R1 Sewart (rawness is scary, but he did great at SB)
R2 Zabel
R3 Lott
R3 Mukuba

College football teams can dress 85 players on game days.

In those "cupcake" portions I'd be surprised if Mason Graham played even a 1/4 of the snaps. And considering the games are won by about 50 points and the defense is on the field for about 30 snaps vs those teams it's no surprise they don't have eye popping stats.

Michigan, like Georgia, rotates in tonnes of players. That's why you don't see Mykel Williams (or Travon Walker) put up big stats.

That's why sometimes you draft for traits. Or combine numbers and not stats. For example Shemar Stewart.
I agree with krizay and Im a Michigan fan. No reason to trade up for Graham when you can get Nolen at 11. Makes no sense to me.

That's why I say wait until after the combine. If they're close on a team's board the combine might be the deciding factor.

Man I don't know he's pretty damn good lol.

this isn't a "sack" but it totally f**ked up the play. We need more of this from the interior.

Agreed.

Also, even in just one trade down to high teens - the extra 2nd rounder allows us to go after one of the top G in Wyatt Millum and Donovan Jackson which one should be available at #43. Then use the extra acquired pick to keep going DL in Alexander/Deone Walker/TJ Sanders etc.

Only one such game fits your narrative. Northwestern 50-6 ND in that game 2 starters along the DL managed to play long enough to combined for 3 sacks. Mason Graham was not one of the 2 contributors.

Arkansas St was 28-18
Fresno st was 13-3 going into the 4th

All the other games were within 2 scores except the beat downs from Texas and Oregon so again, your excuse doesn't fit.

Wyatt Millum sucks he shouldn't even be under consideration for #43.
