2025 Draft Prospect Watch List and Discussion

Walter Cherepinsky (Walter Football) has 49ers selecting Arizona OT Jonah Savaiinaea as Williams' eventual replacement.

Savaiinaea's pass-blocking stood out, achieving a career-high grade of 83.7. Over 478 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just four sacks and 15 pressures. At 6-foot-5 and over 330 pounds, his frame is reminiscent of Williams, adding to the appeal.

Last season, Savaiinaea logged 345 snaps at left tackle and 364 at right tackle, making him capable of filling in at either spot, potentially competing with Colton McKivitz for a starting role until Williams calls it a career.

If the two top OT are gone and Warren is BPA at #11 just draft him.

Probably a 90%+ chance this dude is not gonna be a bust. Can draft OL/DL the next few rounds.

Lol Walter. I like Savaiinaea a lot but I don't think he's best suited to play tackle in the NFL. He has the potential to be a very good, even Pro Bowl level guard. Also #11 is way too early for him.

I don't get the Warren infatuation at all. This offense isn't another weapon away from being elite. We have 3-4 good receivers, CMC and Kittle we are good on players who need to be targeted more.

This! We need 2 and maybe 3 offensive lineman to fix our line once and for all. This year should be all about drafting linemen on both sides of the line.

I get it but there are just far more pressing needs.

I'm taking
Graham
Starks
Conerly
Scourton

over Warren without hesitation.

CB Will Johnson is a wild card for us

We take him and we have 3 quality DBs locked up for the next 4 years and can play more man heavy schemes

Demo in the slot
Greene and Johnson on the outside

If Starks or Johson are available I would run to the podium....we shift from DL centric to DB centric schemes

It is tempting to grab talented players. Chasing a need is always a bad recipe.

But...this front office has got to control the line of scrimmage both ways.

Johnson should be long gone by 11

I think a 1st round pick should generally go for whoever a GM believes is the best lock to be a difference maker.

Drafting based on need in the 1st, I think has a very high bust factor.

A lot of the guys you listed I think will be gone by our pick based on mock drafts I looked at.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind trading DOWN and taking Warren.

At #11 the 49ers should have their pick of several difference makers. A #2 TE falls behind all of them.

Trading down in ths draft might not be a great idea since it's not a talent laden draft. The 49ers don't draft this high very often so they need to try and take advantage.
