Troy Fautanu is that dude.

Perhaps so. We really need to land a good Tackle. We don't need all of our picks. Packaging some picks is fine to move up a few slots.

Im not sure I agree with this. Can use depth at all 5 spots on the OL. We need a long term plan at EDGE. We need an A gap defender. We need to get younger and deeper at 3T. We need a corner. We need depth at LB. We need depth at S. We could use another WR. We need something at TE. We could use ST help. The draft is not only to upgrade the first 22 on the roster, but the back 22 on the roster. If we don't expect rookies to ever start, then we better starting drafting our future starters now.
Looking at how cheap the Vikings were able to go from 42 to 23, Maybe we should trade up now. offer the Steelers 31, 2024 6th RD pick and a 2025 2nd RD pick for #20.

I think its hard to move up pre draft. Presumably that would for a top OT, and there's a chance they are gone at that point. I got no problem taking Wiggins, Kool Aid, Newton, Mitchell, but don't want to trade up for them.

I'm sure I don't agree with it, your take is spot on.

I completely agree.

Not only do the 49ers need depth, but this team is going to look drastically different from now in 1 to 2 years due to age and Brock Purdy getting paid. The 49ers need to take as many swings as possible and try to find the next wave of players that can develop into fixtures of future.

I'm actually all for trading back. I feel the sweet spot is in round 2. A lot of players that can help us are projected to be taken in rounds 2 and early 3rd.

I know it's not feasible but I wish we had like 3 - 2nd round picks.

31 and 32 is the prime trade back spot too because of that 5th year option.
Looked at the mock draft at the top of the page. He doesn't have the Niners picking an O linemen until the 3rd round. I hope he's wrong. They now have 10 picks and I would like to see at least 2 O linemen in the first 4 picks.

That mock was not realistic. He has guys falling that won't be there. Guy was dreaming. Don't blame him.

True but we also could really use that 5th year option. The longer we can keep players on rookie deals the better it is for our cap space, especially once Purdy gets paid.

100% agree

This is how I feel too. The last two drafts have not been good so we need to have a solid one. If we do then next year is more like yeah we just need 4-5 quality guys etc.
Also I feel like this draft in the first two rounds has so much talent I don't think a trade up makes a ton of sense given our roster today.

I believe there's a chance someone we never expected, has a chance to "fall" and be there. Most likely a defender too because I can see a huge run on the OL and WR etc and if not we could even trade down. Who knows what they are thinking.
