The first 3 picks should be EDGE CB and OL/IDL

I wouldn't spend a 2nd on him either. Because he will be picked in the 1st!
I'm starting to get my hope back that he could fall far enough that the Niners might make a move to go get him. I keep seeing Twitter folks saying we don't need a WR. In theory that is true with our big 3. However what exactly do we have behind out big 3? WR is more of a need than people realize. We have set ourselves up pretty nicely to take BPA so I'm good no matter what direction they go. But the draft crush is still very real and alive for this kid.

I completely agree. Deebo's physical style is a constant injury threat. They are going to need some depth and time to develop young players.

My thoughts are target a developmental player early on day 3, and then likely sign another low cost veteran. Maybe if Julio hasn't latched on after the draft. Maybe like a 1 year, heavily incentivized deal?

The need is "deep threat" not WR in general.

We need a guy who can force defenses into playing two safeties deep.

A day 3 guy is going to be another Jennings or Trent Taylor at best.

Thinking 4.36 with size oughta do it. That would be our fastest WR by a good margin no? And his tape shows he plays that fast.

Oh, I'm already onboard the Christian Watson train.
Unless we do a massive trade up it aint happening, but there is a similar player who should be available with our 4th rounder:

Romeo Doubs, WR, Nevada
6'1.7, 204lbs, hit 21.25 mph on a deep route at the Senior Bowl, he's a track guy but applies it well to football. 2021 he showed improvement in route running and doing more than just working the deep options. Tracks the ball well over his shoulder to make the catch, finished with 80 catches, 1109 yards, and 11 TD's in 2021.

I'm down for this guy or Woolen 💦
This guy is probably out of our reach unless something crazy happens. Dude is a physical freak with no obvious character concerns. I won't be surprised if he is a solid 1st round pick for a lot of teams.

He's a 1st round pick. He's 6'4" 210 lbs. Runs 4.3 and has good character. His production was pretty good. He has good hands and runs good routes. He even blocks. He could go in the first 20 picks.
I haven't seen many first round mocks with him in it, but wouldn't it be ironic if Green Bay got him at 22 to spite us with receivers still on the board ranked higher than him.

Yeah unless we trade up Green Bay or KC will swipe him up towards the end of the first

The mocks are wrong. They don't follow lower division level players. He blew up the Senior Bowl and the Combine. His stock is way up. Expect him off the board before the 2nd round begins.

Without a doubt he goes in the top 40 picks, and don't be surprised to see him go in the first round at this point. Like SanDiego said, every teams scout watching Lance last season saw what his #1 target was doing and he's only proved through the process that he belongs and can beat D1 corners with his route running and of course has the timed speed to take the top off a defense.
