A+ Draft!
Go watch press conference, their minds weren't made up for such an emphasis on running backs/o-line but it is what the draft dictated. You don't want to take a WR way lower on your draft board instead of a much higher ranked player.
NFL draft ratings are garbage...what did they give kittle? 30-40? its given by idiots like Mel Kiper that can't even get 10 picks right in their mock drafts.

49ers are fully loaded at WR.
Deebo Samuel
Brandon Aiyuk
Mohamed Sanu
Trent Sherfield
Richie James
Austin Prowhl
Matt Cole
Kevin White
And a couple more I can't think of right now. But more likely they will sign one as an Undrafted Rookie Free Agent.
Only two of those names are worth a damn.
Looks like quantity over quality
That list a little too heavy lol.
Deebo and Aiyuk A+
Everyone else C
Maybe by some miracle Hurd turns out to be what we have all dreamed of.
C is generous

Kary Vincent Jr in the 7th round
I trust in the plan the FO has for us but damn there were some steals in the mid and late rounds in this draft!
Excited for the UDFA signings

You guys are really drinking the kool aid. Aiyuk and deebo are the only players worth anything. They need to sign someone. Or trade for julio. Can you imagine if deebo gets hurt.
Oh yes I can

Yup. I'm okay with it for now. Bring in UDFAs. I like the emphasis on stacking O-line & DB (what I wanted) and RB'S (not what I wanted but its what we've got). Its time for other position groups to get some level. Maybe someone will emerge out of the WR group. Smart money is on James but maybe a healthy Hurd can surprise. Either way, I expect us to control the line of scrimmage and time of possession a lot better- helping out our passing game and defense. This also sets up Trey Lance nicely for 2022.

A player can be schemed open... it was a great game, but it doesnt prove that hes our future in the slot. I do like him, though.

These are my takes from the draft.
The expectation will be for the offense, in particular the running game, to be the main gear of this team. Trent Williams, Juice, Kittle and McGlinchey are all elite run blockers. Mac and Tomlinson are good too. They drafted 2 RBs because the entire backfield becomes FA in 2022, and neither of those guys have been durable enough. They picked 2 OL who I feel will be really good in the NFL, durable, physical, big and nasty players.
Defense will have struggles, but not because of the talent. Robert Saleh is gone and Demeco is a rookie. It helped that Demeco learned from Saleh and got 2020 as an extra year (they were surprised Saleh wasn't hired that year so Demeco had that year to keep learning). There will be growing pains and a elarning curve, we saw that with Saleh as well. But it helps a lot the defensive starters came back and even Sherm could be back for a year. The DB they drafted are for depth and development, since some of those guys will look for the bag in 2022.
The 6th round RB will most likely be a PK/KR which this team desperately needs.
Finally, this was a draft like no other. First time they draft an IOL. First RB they draft since Joe Williams. First QB they draft since Beathard. First draft they don't pick DL or WR.

They'll be looking for some FA backups like Golden Tate or somebody else who is out there. There's still some money to spend to fill depth needs on cheap deals.
