Justin Fields QB - Ohio State

So it's ok for rooks to "flash" if they're not Mac? Was told he's the only rook that should be playing.

Fields be out there breaking ankles but in a much cleaner fashion than a character like Mac.

Lance better be as good as him or there are going to be a lot of pissed off fans. He looked really good last night and showed up on MNF.

Bears got a good one. Effortless speed and his accuracy when on the move is great. Still needs to understand his protections better but arrow is way up on Fields. 2nd best rookie in this draft class so far.

I don't know why Fields stock fell so much up to the draft. I still think Lawrence is can't miss, Wilson has a ways to go, Fields is the entire package and getting better each week. Trey Lance? He's a mystery, from Division 2 to Training Camp. Colleges are producing these super athletic quarterbacks that don't know what the position is about. They can run and make one read, tough to judge. I thought Fields was in that category but he is really good and is a fast learner. It appears DA Bears have their next great QB after Sid Luckman.

Mac Jones or Justin Fields should have been the pick. Either one would do good for us.

I still say both would be on the bench in SF. Kyle is going with jimmy until he gets hurt or the team is out of the layoffs. Fields would still be the inexperienced guy he was the first few games. He was so confused back there tha the was getting sacked at a record pace. He had no idea where to go with the ball and he's still learning that. Jones probably was the most read to play right away but Kyle wouldn't have gone to him unless Jimmy couldn't play. As soon as Jimmy was healthy Jones would be back on the bench. Look at what he's doing in NE. Managing the game the same way Jimmy does. Nothing spectacular so why would Kyle make a permanent switch. Keep in mind. Jones couldn't beat out Hurts or Tagovailoa at Alabama.

He was a younger player then. You can't compare a younger player to a more experienced player at Alabama and say he couldn't start. It's a deeply unfair comparison.

Was he a senior at the time? In other words if somebody is a sophomore at Alabama I would expect a more experienced player to beat them. Does it make sense?

He sat for 3 years. First behind Hurts and then Tua. Tua was about the same age. The fact was he wasn't highly regarded and wasn't athletic enough to beat those guys out. Once he got his shot he did great but that team was so loaded that any QB could have looked good. great line. Great RB. Great receivers. Jimmy G might have been a Heisman candidate with that group.
