But I wanted to be the first to get Ruggs Uggs from the NFL shop!

Seriously though, I am going to be in complete shock if the 49ers take a WR at #13.
That brick of text, tho.
Because our passing offense was trash. And thats why we gave up two draft picks for Sanders in the first place

That being said, I am okay taking a stud OT like Andrew Thomas or Jedrick Wills at 13 too. Because our OL sucking is the reason we lost. And probably why I suspect Jimmy had a bunch of his passes batted down at the line

Taking a WR at 13 would be such a waste of a high pick.

Why should our passing offense chuck it out so much when our Defense is Elite and holding opponents to a one possession game most of the time? And even if we do decide to become a passing offense, I wouldn't say it's trash (see: Week 14 @ Saints). What Sanders did in that game is what Hurd/Samuel can replicate, and Jimmy G showed he's not that much of a slouch in that superdome. It's more about the scheme that Shanahan implements than what the WR is capable of. And our current core of WR's are highly underrated & talented, nonetheless. Unless there's a Julio Jones type of player out there for us, I'll pass.

Ok after some thinking..I wouldn't mind trading that 13th pick to get more picks...get a top lineman to help jimmy g
then go after mims from baylor maybe in 2rd or pittman jr...or tee higgins
Chassion is more like Clowney than Smith..

And hes still not too much like Clowney lol
I don't understand it myself considering how deep this draft is at WR. It's basically like playing checkers instead of chess.

That's quite a high remark if you're comparing Chaisson's college tape to Clowney's college tape. Maybe Chaisson should be the first pick as well then.

Our pass blocking was ranked 15th and our receiving corps was ranked 13th so neither one was terrible but they both could use an upgrade.

I agree that if we felt good about our WRs we wouldn't have traded for sanders. We cant count on Hurd and Taylor at this point. Hurd was a third round pick, so this idea that we should be counting on him is extremely risky. Taylor has been injured the past two years and was are slot receiver before that. While I do not think we have to go WR in the first round in this draft. As you do not want to draft someone you do not think is worthy of the selection. There is no question in my mind though that WR is this teams biggest need right now.
