I'm usually pretty zen about actual picks (besides picking specialists early), but a 1st round TE pick would be tough.

I wouldn't rule it out. I'm not a huge fan of his, but there is some Gronk to his game.. it's something to keep an eye on.
Like to see odds on this, I'm betting 100% against him going to SF at 31. Gonna go ahead and rule it out.TE is about 5th on list of need for this team. Not like they already have leagues best TE.
Cole Kmet could go at #30 or #31 but not to the Niners

No way in hell they pick a TE on day 1 or 2. That TE would be competing with Juice for snaps (21 or 12 personnel). When the 49ers want to put the opposition defense in base personnel, Juice is the one to do it with. TE2 is a splurge item.

I guess that's a possibilty. The niners met with 8, Kmet wasn't one of them. Says a little about how interested they are. My bet is day 3, Keane or Asaisi, or my fav TE/pizza chef/gangster: Giovanni Ricci ..fuhgettah bout it.

I just really don't want our first pick to be an OT for the 2nd time in 3 years. If it is though I'm confident that he will be the best player at his position for his whole career.

Well there's a lot of possibilities with 22 personnel given how good Kittle and Juszcyck are.

True that. But that's such a little used sub package. TE2 is basically a gadget player that would get 8-12 snaps a game in this offense that likes their fullback.
