Another fun night. I am just tacking onto my "Re-Setting the Board for Day Two" Thread. I feel really great about my person draft so far, with Bosa, Brown and Butler (who will be drafted at some point...haha). My pick at 104 will be CGJ, or Amani Hooker. If CGJ is selected, I am leapfrogging Nelson to pick Hooker. Day Three is my favorite day. Let's Do It!!! -MD --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a great Thursday night! It was fantastic to pick up Nick Bosa and solidify a tremendous defensive line. He will be a perfect fit as our LDE. Now, it is back to other parts of the roster to push this team into the playoffs in 2019. My prediction is that the 33rd pick is up for sale for the highest bidder who would like Drew Lock or Will Grier. The transition from Day One to Day Two allows teams the opportunity to re-stack their boards, and begin conversations with early Round 2 teams to jump up and get their guy. I expect the first couple of picks to be Lock/Grier and Taylor and a CB (Murphy/Williams), a safety or AJ Brown. Regardless, the Niners will have a quality starter on the board at 36. Don't blow it, Lynch. While the Niners desperately need to upgrade their WR and S positions, they also cannot overlook OT. Staley may be in his last year with the team, so a Dalton Risner or Jawaan Taylor could be very appealing. The OT class drops off dramatically after these two. Risner is versatile enough to play 4 positions on the OL. My pick for Round 2 is AJ Brown, unless he is snatched up. The fallback is Butler or Murphy. The run on CBs and safeties will be crazy in Round 2. In fact, I would wager that 20 of the 32 players in Round 2 will be corners, safeties, or wide receivers. Strap on your seat belts. I love Andy Isabella's value as a third rounder. You are getting a Marquise Brown, two rounds later. He will surely be at the top of my board for Round 3. However, any of these guys on the list below would be tremendous for this franchise. Here is my best board going into Day Two. Best available players, position wise, really matches up well with SF's team needs. Good stuff.

The question I have is how big of a drop-off in a ranking of 1 to 10 with 1 being very slight, is it between these players? Or if you can put them into tier groups by drop-off? I would be happy to pass on a WR and go OL in the 2nd if the drop-off is a 3 or lower between the WRs.

Just hoping out of WR available in 2nd they done grab Whiteside, not impressed.

Starting to really like Butler as the top WR. You can't teach 10"+ hands and 6'5". I think it is more that he is so under control and adjust so well to the ball in the air that really got me sold. Brown probably the most polished but Butler could force Defensive schemes.

One more thing, MD. Does it concern you that NE drafted N'Keal over AJ Brown? Doesn't Brown perfectly fit their offense?

Agreed. I know I'm in the minority but I prefer Butler over Brown. That said I'd be happy with any of them

Interesting point. The pick surprised me too. Harry seems very abnormal for what they look for in a WR. Buuuut.... He was one of my favorites, and if they decided he was their top guy that may be more about Harry than Brown.

Agree. I think I'll be happy with any pick in the WR, DB, OT positions in the next 3 rounds. But I'll lean towards a WR pick high because I think that's the biggest impact to the offense. With Kittle drawing future double teams, the WR playing next to him is going to have a field day.

So what happened to greedy Williams? I remember him being hyped as a top 10 prospect and then he fell off a cliff. Just over hyped early in the process?
