What position should the team address with the 36th overall?

OL or FS followed by wide receptor. It's paramount that we protect JG or our season is done. It's also paramount to our D that we have someone capable on the back end who can roam sideline to sideline. I don't trust Tartt to stay healthy and Ward is meh.

I actually wouldn't mind taking another tight end if one of the Iowa boys is there at 36. Could run our O like how the Pat's did w/ Gronk and Thug Life and would really disguise whether we are running or passing it with our stellar stable of rbs.

that's the thing, I would like a great FS, or a great WR, or a great CB, or a great TE, or a great SAM... I want the best one at any of those positions.

You hope to trade back a little in such a scenario. But the way this draft class is shaped, at 36 there should be at least a couple of prospects who play WR, OL or DB that are sitting there and represent strong value.

We should be able to fill one of these needs with the BPA approach in essence.

If I have 2 different positions of need or more available like the aforementioned, I would not prioritize a position but rather take the guy we graded highest.

S, CB, G, OT, OC, WR, TR.

But mostly, I want the best possible prospect. A guy with a chance of starting. If he is a guard, a safety or a receiver I don't really mind. If you insist on a vote, I will go O line.

hmm not keen. We are slim on picks this year without trading any away. I think some good players will slip to our 2nd.

I think the OL is the biggest problem especially regarding protecting Jimmy G and replacing Staley. Getting someone that can train inside for a year or two and then go to tackle would be my priority. But ShanaLynch seem satisfied with the OL and with Ward, Colbert, etc. as the free safety. So, I think they're going WR at #36.

agreed. We're slim on picks this year. We're missing our 2nd from next year... and it's not like a 6th will get it done either.

I think either Tackle with our second and safety with our third or Safety with our second and gaurd with the third. I voted ol as I see tackle as a huge risk going forward not knowing when Staley will be done.

AJ Brown, Andy Isabella, Hakeem Butler or Deebo Samuel. One of them will be there at pick #36. But if Taylor Rapp is there, that will be one tough decision to flip a coin to.

I've voted WR though I'd be happy with OL or a Safety at this pick. It's largely because the arguments made for taking a safety also apply to WR; Taylor, Pettis, Goodwin and Garcon were all very limited last year for various reasons and although Mathews replaces Garcon, our offense struggled significantly with a lack of receiving options.

I appreciate the OL argument, but people also need to acknowledge the actually time Jimmy had to throw but with no one to throw to - the average time of sack vs the Lions was over 6s, that tells me where the problem was.
