Basically, the Niners would have to try very very hard to F this up.

You have a few WR going before Kelvin Harmon. Do you have him graded that low or does the other WRs picked ahead of him fit the team's offense better?

Thank you. How can you lose. This year is one of the best years for edge rushers in a year that we need edge rushers. It is so deep that we could trade back and get a good one or stay at #2 and get a good one. I didn't say great because none of us knows how any of these guys will do at the next level. Even if we take Williams there will most likely be an edge guy later in the draft that we could add and Williams would help the edge guys by increasing inside pressure. Even if we rotated Buckner and Q to keep them both fresh we come out ahead. The only way to screw this up would be trading all the way out of the first which isn't going to happen.
One other thing about the draft. Whoever we end up taking I hope that people will not start calling Lynch an idiot because he took someone other than the guy they wanted. You can disagree but these people are not idiots. They know more than any of us since I doubt there is anyone on this forum that makes his living building a football team. Fantasy doesn't count. Way too much hatred in the world today so let's disagree or approve in a civil way. I'm probably wishing for too much but I hate to see fans getting crazy over this stuff.

36 Greg Little Mississippi OT
37 Tytus Howard Alabama St OT
Do either of these guys fit the profile for what Kyle wants in his OTs (think McGlinchy)? If yes, do you think either one is capable of playing at OG for a year? I ask this because you want some kind of production from your 2nd rounder, and sitting to learn behind Staley is not production. I'd hope that if they go OT with pick 36, the guy can compete for OG as we wait for Staley to retire.
At the 67 spot, you have a OT ranked exactly there: 67 David Edwards Wisconsin OT.
Does he fit the profile for a 49er OT? Not too concerned if he can play OG since a 3rd rounder can sit and learn and it won't be so bad as a 2nd rounder sitting to learn.
Very good questions. If the Niners are using McGlinchey as a model for what they are looking for at OT, I'd be surprised to see the Niners select either Little or Howard. Little is athletic, but really soft in the run game. There are questions about his work ethic and habits. He was never a team captain. McGlinchey was a team captain, very intelligent and hard-working, a model of what an NFL player should look like.
Although Howard was a team captain, he also played at Alabama St., hardly a blue-blood football program fighting weekly against top level competition.
Edwards was not a team captain, but is a tough, physical guy that is similar to McGlinchey in size, and played RT like McGlinchey.
A guy that better fits the mold of McGlinchey would be Dalton Risner, a three-time team captain and heart and soul of the Kansas State team. He should go somewhere in the early second and can play anywhere along the line of scrimmage. Not the same size as McGlinchey, but a ton of football intelligence, incredible leadership and a great team guy.

He just tested so poorly. I have to think it dumps his draft stock a bit. Good college football player.

Very good list. But you know everyone is gonna have problems with any list someone puts out.
My issue is that Yodny Cajuste isn't even an honorable mention. To me he's better than a few tackles you have in the top 100.
Also David Sills is better than a few WRs on that list as well.

They could really screw this up by drafting Rashan Gary...but that is NOT going to happen.

Some tough decisions for their 2nd round pick and players available. WR or OT/OG combo

That´s the draft where I would hate a trade down.
You can chose between Bosa or Williams, or even Allen.

If Burns is the real deal wouldn't mind a trade back to get another 2nd and grab him and a WR and OL in 2nd
