First of all I compliment you for going back and putting the gifs together. I just disagree with your take on some of this stuff.

Also some of those are not what I consider obvious passing downs. 3rd and 4, 3rd and 2 when the opponent is in your side of the field are not obvious passing downs.

And then there is what you consider a win. My original point was that the idea that he was shut out and completely engulfed by these guys was a crock and that's right there in the evidence. You could argue that he left some stuff out there but I disagree. He certainly doesn't get engulfed by those guys on those pass downs. He may not finish the sack but he's certainly further away from being owned/engulfed than he is from finishing.

btw the reason they rotate so much has nothing to do with guys being tired or not good enough, it's because they have to give a certain amount of snaps to their players so they can keep recruiting.

Does Bosa have his weaknesses? Yes he does. Are people making them into mountains when they're more like mole hills? Yes they are.

33 inch arms are not short. Aldon Smith and his life are not the norm. There are a number of elite edge rushers who have 32-33 3/4 arms. If you compare the arm length for tackles vs DEs you'll see the averages are way more on the OL. Khalil Mack has 1/4 inch on Bosa. You think there aren't any tackles with longer arms than him? Orlando Brown has 35 inch arms....guess he's Mack's cryptonite as well? Bosa actually had a faster 10 yard split than Mack 1.55 vs 1.56. Vic Beasley had 1.59 10 yard split.

The other thing you have to remember he'd be coming to a team with Buckner and some other talented interior guys with Ford on the other side. Maybe he doesn't have the speed or bend of Von Miller from the edge but when the QB doesn't have the ability to step up in the pocket he'll be just fine.
It's not just the arms, it's explosion- the two combined are why he was a half second late in that game. And splits do not reflect first step explosion, they reflect close area closing. Explosion is shown in the vertical, which sucks for Bosa and shows why his first step is pedestrian. Someone with a good ten yard split is going to be great at chasing down an outside zone run from the back side. Someone with a great vertical is going to win on the first step. Someone with both and bend is going to turn the tackle around and routinely get the qb.

There are at least two, maybe three guys who will be drafted in round one who are better edge rushers than Bosa. But none of then are the run defender Bosa is.

So pick your poison. If you want an elite pass rusher on the edge, trade down and get Allen or Burns (Allen needs more polish but he has the physical traits Bosa lacks). If you want an all around better football player who isn't the very best at rushing from the edge but certainly far from bad, get Bosa.

All depends on what you want. Better football player (Bosa) or better edge rusher (Burns, Allen, etc).

This! But I will add fords first step blows doors off all this year's first rounders

This draft is deep at D-line. Hope that the Murray falls to #2 or the Raiders/Giants want Haskins. Trade down.
